    Thank you for the wonderful session Sowmya. Do you think using Data gate just for data copy from db2 Z to db2 on cloud is good? No analytics to be done with the data but if we need to backup data is data gate a worthy software?

    if IBM really wanted to improve the z/OS talent pool , start giving a free 14/30 day trial of ADCD (not the cloud version). z/OS is the goose that lays the golden eggs. It will be a secret society and will die a secret society

    30:19 Is there a way to use these profile tables to identify those distributed connections coming with IPs of a specific member in a data sharing group (thereby not using HA of db2 data sharing) and throw a warning or an exception to force them to use db2 data sharing group IP and not an individual member IP ?

    It would be nice to see a catalog table that just says what type a table space is .. rather than go through looking a couple or more values to find it out .. this could be then made simpler to simply ask application folks to look up as well Let me be more greedy .. how about giving a value of what %age of max size a table space is now with a corresponding archive table to plot a growth ..

    Very useful slides,monitoring table functions are always easy to modify and use.Another good point is, it does not acquire latches as snapshots so the overhead is very low.
