This has always been one of my favorite jazz standards. I recorded this around the same time I did my version of Satin Doll. Hope you enjoy.

Well, note to self. This was like a year before the date it says it was posted. It is, however, safe to say that the whole “daily” thing only lasted for one day.

Did you play with a band called Emotions?
@@jessicaburton7162 thanks for listening!
Woah
Nathan i found your song before the Houston Livestock and Rodeo performance. Yesss Nathan is the HLR Performance from the Rodeo also still on your channel and did you sing the same song? U had such a pure and deep voice when you were young. Id forgotten about that.
Nathan is this you singing too. And did you write this great song?
Nathan Hanna :)

Haha thanks man! Such an old video, good times.
Too good, that's got to be from heaven, no human being could play that beautifully!❤❤❤❤❤
Just awesome! Love it! Love it! Love it!❤

Красивая девушка самая талантливая это на скрипки играет

Fantastic I love listening to you play the banjo.
Thank you kindly!
1:31 Nathan a decade later see’s what you did there. Throwing in that Sum 41 “Fat Lip” melody quote.
Nathan 11 years later says “Way to go screwing up the changes. Good job though lol”.
nice to see you back!
Hey, thanks!
Keep it up!
Thanks Matt! Miss you guys.

Your The New Deception post; Are they your work?
Yes, this was a project of mine I did at home over the last few months.
Love this one Nathan, great song!
Sounds like a potential hit to me, another great one Nathan!
I hear this from everyone for this song! So this will probably be the one I “push”. Thanks Mark!
Great stuff Nathan, such a whirlpool of admirable influences, from Robert Plant to Eddie Vedder, amazing mate, Mark
badass
My feedback is: Please use the replay button everyone: 0:00 ! This is giving me a mix of Alice in Chains with country and Puddle of Mudd (Spin you around). It's awesome! And it's so well produced.
Thank you so much!!!! And haha you’ve got such a great ear. I can’t escape my Texas roots haha
sorry for the long comment! but i felt this deserved it got recommended this by youtube yesterday, and i'm really surprised to see it was uploaded yesterday and it's such a recent song! the way it sounds reminds me of a lot of music from the late 90s/2000s that i love, so i was expecting it to be something from that era of music, something kind of obscure but still already popular definitely think this deserves more views, in time. i really like this track {especially the solo at 2:36, and the outro}, and i hope it isn't odd to say but i really like your voice i'll have to set aside some time to listen to the rest of this album soon other than that, some other feedback/things i want to say: 1. would you put the lyrics in the descriptions of your videos? {your voice is clear, i just like being able to read the lyrics of a song sometimes haha} 2. i think you should look into posting this album on bandcamp, maybe! i don't know if there might be any downsides to using that site, but i know a lot of musicians post their music and a lot of people listen to music there 3. not really related to the song itself - who made the album cover? it really caught my eye and was a large part of why i bookmarked it so i gotta ask
Curious, did it recommend after watching anything similar or was it totally random? Yes, I wrote these song last year after a dark time and recorded them as there were being written (I have a small demo studio in my spare room.) I was originally going to keep working on these songs until they reached perfection but I figured posting them “as is” was a bit more realistic for me. I’m glad you’ve enjoyed this! Yea I’m a big fan of the 90s/00s also, I don’t think I was going for nostalgia but I can see how it would sound that way, it is an era that has heavily influenced me like many of us! That solo btw, haha there was a shreddy solo in its place at one point, but I felt the simple and melodic served the song must better. When you get a chance to listen to the rest, lmk! Really hope you enjoy those. 1) Yes, I will be working on adding lyrics in description and maybe CC. 2) Bandcamp, Spotify, Apple Music, etc all will be coming soon! 3) Glad you like the cover! I prompted in with an AI, took several generations before it caught my eye as well (I was focused on the small but bright accent, with vague context of what’s being seen). Took several more generations to reach something that didn’t look like “oh this is AI art”. Honestly, I’m not a fan of AI art by any means, human expression is a beautiful thing that AI will never attain. However, it is a useful tool if you need something done quick. I intend on the cover to be eventually recreated by a real artist.
yes
benis. (omg it’s Todd!)
Wow this so good instantly remined me of the song Stray by Steve Conte. Any chance it will be available on Spotify?
Thanks!! I actually am unfamiliar with that song and artist, so I will have to educate myself, thanks for sharing! And ehhh, Spotify will take a little time but I’m working on it! I just noticed which song you commented on, this is one I thought people would skip😂. Seriously, thank you for taking the time to listen!! More coming soon and please share if you know anybody who would enjoy!
@@hannanathan564 There's a metric tone of creativity and attention to detail in this album. Whether hard work, giftedness, solid luck, or a blend, the results are excellent, and that's what counts!
I like this, this more like TAD, My Sister's Machine, Willard etc. more than a lot of the mainstream grunge bands and I love it.
Thank you! Bringing it back to the raw 90s sound
Great job on this Beatles tune, Nathan. I actually like yours better. Smoother.
Nathan, did you write this?
Everything under the name Blackout Burning was written and recorded by me yes!
@@hannanathan564 It's been 7 years since I've seen any of your work. Are you still doing other genres, as well? You're an exceptional young musician. I've wondered what you were up to the last few years.
@@hannanathan564 I listened to ALL of them! 😊 Great work. It sounds like you're in a "season."
@@1krazykaraokegranny I certainly was at the time. These songs are about a year old but they were helpful in getting me through that time.
@@1krazykaraokegranny Plenty of country music and jazz still! How has everything been over there?
Yeah, sick sound bro. Sorry if I'm "labeling" it wrong, but I love that grunge vibe: the heavy, aggressive riffs with a high-pitched vocal. Nice work, folk(s).
Nailed it, it’s a 2023 independent grunge album. I actually made all these a year ago, just took a long time to build the nerve to share. Thanks for the kindness!
jolly ride :)
This is delightful!
This is great too!
Thanks! There’s some great musicians in this that I was fortunate to perform this with. The late Bob Alexis who performed with Elvis Presley at one point in life, on bass. And Tyler Jackson who performed with Ray Price for many years as a member of his band, on tenor banjo.
This is smoking! Love it.
Nice vibrato😎
Love this, great version!
Thanks! This was a very long time ago. It’s kinda cringy for me to watch lol. New stuff coming up.
@@hannanathan564 It's great man, love your voice, it sounds refreshing...get the new stuff up here!
