Velocity Banking - Getting Started (My First Fortnight)
This is my first pay trying the Velocity Banking method. It’s a modified version as I’m using my credit card. It looks good on paper, it will just depend on how I go staying on it under budget. Giving it a 3 month trial to see what improvement it makes.

VSG to RNY Bypass | Liquid Only Diet (Overview)

Just sharing all of the different types of liquids so enjoyed. I was only on this 10 days before my dietician moved me to the next phase as I was meeting my fluid and protein goals. It’s also because when she checked my surgery and staple lines, I only had one stitch line so could progress through each phase more quickly (less risk than if they need to restore your pouch both vertically and hor...

Keto Grocery Haul $132 (Coles)
Просмотров 286 месяцев назад
$132 grocery haul. Dog food was approx. $35 of it. Sticking with Keto for now as my cm are finally dropping after I added in some more starchy veg. Each meal is still heavily meat based and protein is my focus still.
Ketovore Grocery Haul ($72 - Coles)
Просмотров 767 месяцев назад
After I did this grocery shop, by lunchtime I had come down with the flu 😷 I’m not sure if the cravings for sugar and carbs was related or just coincidence. I feel pretty crummy, but I’m not curled up in bed wishing for the end - so perhaps this way of eating has helped my body fight this flu 🤷♀️ I bought some basic broth soups and ill make a video on how I tackled being sick on ketovore.

$42 Aldi Grocery Haul | Trying Cheaper Alternatives (Whilst Checking Out Their Prices Shhh) 🤭
Well this is scary news, I've been on Ozempic for a year now (For my A1C, not weight loss however). I have lost 30 pounds, but it's not worth those side effects 🤦♀
@@SouthernGospelLady I’d always suggest doing your own research and speaking to your doctor 💕
Really enjoyed seeing what you put together, thank you for sharing your journey!
How long have you had hashimoto's? Have you always taken medication for it? I was told about 2-3 years ago that i have it but not on medication
Oh gosh, I would say I was diagnosed about 15 years ago at least. I take eutroxsig daily and I often still felt tired. My energy levels really only improved once I started to cut the processed foods and carbs. I’m definitely thriving on this way of eating, except for fat loss - keep reminding myself I need to be patient. I really abused my body for years, it has a lot of healing to do. Maybe you could look into whether some iodine supplements might work? In Australia you need an assessment before they will sell it to you at a chemist. I don’t need it (levels are ok) but hear others find it helpful if not on medication.
@@Sonja... I’ve had hashimoto’s for 10+ years. Been medicated thus whole time.
Wouldnt dairy be good to keep for the bones?
This is a great question, many people don’t realise that red meat, chicken, tuna and prawns all contain calcium. Sure it’s lower than the fortified dairy but it’s still ok. In fact my calcium has always run really high (not good). Im not cutting dairy forever, it’s just an experiment to see if this is the reason I’m not losing weight - I find some dairy hard not to binge on. I’m really struggling without it and also eating lower fat. Today so totally ate a protein bar that was not good for me (but was technically ok for ‘ketovore’ I’m going to reach out to Jenny (I’m part of her community) and just get her thoughts on how to manage this a lil better.
I started cutting sugar and all kind of junk and bread and rice and pasta too. The first week it was terrible, so bad that mean I was addicted on sugar and junk food but now I’m better just i have constipation🥴 and I took some of colon cleaners and I go to the bathroom after 3 days 😢but I drink allllot of water and veggies not much some time cucumber or lettuce 🥬 or tomato 🍅 today I’m in headache 🤕 so bad I keep drinking water with salt any way I can get rid off of headaches and constipations😔thanks ❤
I wish you all the best on your health journey. When you lower your fibre, sometimes you need to up the fat a lil to help things move through. Best to go slow or you might get things moving a lil too much, I personally like brown butter bites or adding a lil extra butter to my coffee (definitely froth it with a mini electric whisk or stick mixer though or it’s just awful haha). It’s a big adjustment, it took about 3 - 4 weeks before my digestion sorted itself out. It can be an unpleasant process, I’d suggest going slow 😀
Something I recently learned is that our gut bacteria adapts to what it has to digest. So if you eliminated fruits and veggies, eating primarily meat, your gut adjusted it’s bacterial make up to process what’s coming through. It’s not that you can’t tolerate vegetables; you conditioned your digestion away from them. Reintroduction would then need to be slow. FWIW.
I appreciate your comment. Ever since my weight loss surgery, I really struggled with constipation, the Ozempic only worsened that. Since eliminating these foods and medications, no issues. This is definitely a possibility, however for now I feel much healthier without them, so for now will continue to leave them out 😀
To a point. Some people are more sensitive. I've eaten vegetables my whole life. I actually enjoy them. But I've also had IBS for decades, and vegetables, especially raw, and legumes are my trigger.
I wish you the best. Sounds like you have tuned your diet to a moderate level of keto.
No, I’m only have the occasional nut (no more than 3-4) or the occasional 3-4 slices of pickles, again not daily. Still Ketovore. My salsa experiment didn’t go well either haha I think soon enough I’ll be carnivore if my tastebuds keep changing the way they are haha
Looking up the book after watching this video. Thanks for the information
You are very welcome. 😀
Loved this video. I would like to see what you’re eating and buying. I have the ultra processed book but haven’t started it yet. It sounds like it will be an interesting and eye opening read
Feel free to share your ah huh moments as you progress through it 😀
How do you cook the bacon scallops? I've never tried scallops but i do like prawns...
5-6 minutes total. 3 mins then flip. Mine were small, I just cooked till my bacon was crispy. Really easy, similar to cooking prawns from raw.
@@KsoPlans nice, so just wrap and cook in a pan? Do you need to use oil?
@@Sonja... I used a tsp of Ghee because I was cooking prawns too. If it’s just the bacon, if it has a bit of fat on it - no need to add extra oil in my opinion.
Thankyou
Love that pork crackle!
It was yummy!😋
Sorry for my absence. I will do a Ketovore explanation video soon. Hope you enjoy the grocery haul.
I wish I was paying $1.52 for fuel. I'm in regional SA and currently paying $2.09-2.14/litre
Please let me know what meal you think I could make to use up ‘Danish Feta’.
I really love your set-up. It looks like something I could actually do. Thank you for sharing 😊
You're doing great! Hang in there, track and be aware of your budget, it gets easier. 🎉
Until I can work out ‘Chapters’ my budget starts at approx. 4:15 and the cash stuffing at 13:26 😀
love how you organize your pantry and fridge! Thank you for sharing the meal planner sheet.
Love Aldi, love grocery hauls, love meal plans and cooking videos. Have you tried making your own pikeletes?
Yes, I do use pancake shakes to make mini ones (buttermilk). They just don’t defrost as nicely. These ones were actually ok. I wouldn’t get them all the time but it’s a nice option to have.
Welcome back 😊 I enjoy your videos!
So good to see you back again!
