It works, but don’t buy replacement LEDs. Cannibalize good LEDS from other bad bulbs. I save all my dead bulbs for parts. Also get a hot air solder work station (they are cheap). That way you only heat up and de-solder the bad LED rather than all of them with the iron. Use a bit of Kapton tape on each side to protect good LEDs from the heat gun. After removal, clean and prep the blank space and air-solder one of the cannibalized replacement LEDs from another old bulb using the same heat and solder method. To re-solder, buy and apply a solder paste used just for surface mounted devices.
