    I have followed this story since the beginning and I feel she has been “ganged” up on! My only other comment is that if that is how they deal with these incidents then she is better off not teaching there! She will be teaching and helping kids again!

    The Urbandale Community School District is one of the most corrupt school districts in the state. I would highly recommend avoiding living in this district if you choose to move to the Des Moines metro.

    Beautiful story!!!! I am so glad they found each other. Is it just me, though, or does the brother not seem too happy about the entire situation-- the comment about them staying all day, instead of an hour, and when they called him the middle child?

      Sadly, that wasn't uncommon. It was often done so the birth family would "move on".

    How terrible that they were told their baby had died - when they had already agreed to the adoption. What was that all about!?

    • @fromthegetgo4981
      @fromthegetgo4981 Год назад

      They sometimes did that to make sure the biological parents didn't fight back for their baby during the legal interim since the adoption isn't automatic. It's a terrible and horrible practice, and so many hospitals did this to biological parents back then who already were heartbroken having to give their baby up.

      @@fromthegetgo4981, agreed. I was born in the mid 1950's and didn't find out that one of my favorite aunts was actually a cousin until I was an adult. My aunt was a teen mother when she gave birth and her daughter was raised as if she was her sister. Imagine knowing that's your child but because of times and stigma you have to tell people it's your sibling.

    • @lucyarmstrong1075

      It was NOT ok that the hospital told these parents that their baby died. I have heard stories where parents were told their baby did not survive and the baby was sold on the black market. The grieving parents never thought to ask for the body to have a funeral.

    My husband has a similar story. A man contacted him about 7 years ago wanting to show him something. They met. Long story short. They are natural brothers with same father and mother. He is the youngest of 5 kids. Both parents are deceased. Husbands mother told no one. It has been a great reunion though. He and my husband are the only children still living.

    My grandpa was adopted and there was only 2 people alive to say yes my great grandmother had a child. My great grandmother lived at a private all girls catholic school. She got pregnant at age 15 and had him a day after 16th birthday. She NEVER told anyone who the father was. Family rumor has said she was probably raped by a priest. The thought of what my great grandmother went threw and the secrets she held in at a young age and threw her life breaks my heart. Her own husband and 2 other sons didn't even know she had a child. My grandpa has met all the family they are so welcoming it's amazing. My great grandmother died July 20 1980 my sister was born July 28 1980 and going threw pictures the family gave my grandma I asked where the hell is this and why is my sister wearing that old dress. It was a picture of my great grandmother. My grandfather was adopted my a nurse and doctor that worked at the hospital he was born at and lived a very good life. He was married 62 years till my grandma died. He has 12 grandchildren 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. I'm glad this family got accepted into their extended family like we did.
