I'm struggling to find the motivation to reorganise my kitchen and your tips are great. I had decided to remove the cupboard doors and just have open shelves because once I close a door, I forget what's behind it.
That sounds great! We had the same thought process when first starting to have our own household. And the open shelves already changed a lot for us for the better. Hope it helps you too! 💛 You got this!
Looks like a satisfying store shelf now. Good overview about what's there. I would be interested in a video sometime later that shows if the method still works for you, or if you've made more adjustments 😮😊

the cats need a lot more to do. you have one shelf for 2 cats and no toys or scratching post, or anything to climb. Good thought though.
You could put up a cat tree or some shelves so they can jump up and look out, my catio has a lot of shelves that they use to climb around.
Good idea! We are thinking about putting a cat tree at the long side, since they can't really look out from there : D but shelves also sound interesting

I would suggest laying out artificial grass on the ledge for the cats so the have someone you grip when getting up on it, as well as a step to jump on to make it easier to get up to it.
Sadly Sherlock (the tuxedo cat) loves to eat plastic 😭 so i'm afraid he would just eat the artificial grass. but otherwise that's a great idea! Definetely thinking about a step though! 🤔 They're still spooked by the ledge sometimes so i think it would help if they could have a look at it before they jump on it 🤔

Good design, but the wire fencing is not the right wiring to use.

I am all for putting paint/ wallpaper on the shelfs/ other furniture to make it more coherent. Also I love how your dining table looks! A funky design in the bureau WOULD BE SO COOL!
