Farragut, Spanish? Not true. At the time of his birth, Menorca was not part of Spain, it was part of the english crown for about 100 years. From 1708 since 1802. While it is true that the chancellery of the Spanish king Charles III supported the American revolutionary cause (not out of sympathy with the independence cause, but with the purpose of harming England), and assigned armed forces to it, Ferragut did not form part of this world and was never Spanish. Spanish historiography cites "Jorge(Jordi )Ferragut" as "a Spanish hero of American independence", but the reality is that he never had any relationship with Spain. Outside of his Catalan culture of birth and American culture of adoption, Ferragut was born, grew up and sailed as a subject of Kings George II and George III of Great Britain. With the interval that Catherine II of Russia served. And he fought, had children, and died as an American citizen.

What annoys me is that America did not behave like a good friend of Spain in the following years. In 1898, America fought against Spain in the Cuban War, and took over the Philippines, Guam, Puerto Rico..... They tried to erase the Spanish heritage in those territories. It is a real shame.

That’s because the Anglo America is controlled by the Roman Catholic Turkish Vatican. The British have become worshippers of finance, if you want to know the truth, look at what they did to Gibraltar. They’re establishing Mosques there and creating fake jobs to make the people fat on financial gain from non sense fake jobs. The Anglos are greedy and ruined the USA and Hispanic nations by removing their Hispanic connection. The Anglos financed the separation of Spain from the Central and South American nations. Sad.

they tried to erase spanish heritage in the whole america, asia, europe and even africa. the anti spanish legend is true and starts when the protestants rise against the catholic (due to the relevancy of Spanish catholics) The commonwealth always wanted to differentiate from spain´s culture because Spain was multicultural and christians, jews, and muslims lived in peace there and mixed together and shared cultures. And that was what made Spain the greatest country for ages. And they cannot erase the historical relevancy of Spain's Achievements. just an example: Queen of spain Isabel I banned and punished slavery of the native americans in year 1504. the commonwealth agreed and protected slavery for 300 more years

It is noticeable that as a historian you do NOT have much of an idea, why could there not be fighters from those countries misnamed Latinos,,,Hispanic-Americans, such as Venezuela, Mexico, Guatemala, etc,, because they did not exist in those years...they were viceroyalty territories from new spain...you are stupid telling the history of spain based on the black legend,,,after a few years...the united states paid help from spain causing a war with a fictitious attack,,in cuba...stealing territory Spanish in Cuba and the Philippines,,,if you want to teach something, teach it well with reliable data or better, teach people to read so that they can read the true story

England might consider making reparations to the U.S. to bolster the tenuous alliance between the two nations. One could begin by addressing the Wallabout Bay atrocity. It is difficult to speculate on the possible financial damages that might be awarded in a hypothetical lawsuit related to the Wallabout Bay prison ships, as there are many factors that would need to be taken into account, such as the specific legal theories and damages calculations used in the case, the evidence presented, and the applicable laws and legal standards. That being said, some past global atrocities and their corresponding legal awards may provide some guidance as to what damages might be awarded in such a case. For example: Holocaust reparations: In 1952, Germany agreed to pay reparations to Holocaust survivors and Israel for the damages inflicted during World War II. These reparations amounted to approximately $7.3 billion in current value. South African apartheid: In 1998, a class-action lawsuit filed against corporations that profited from South African apartheid resulted in a settlement of $1.25 billion for victims and their families. Japanese-American internment: In 1988, the U.S. government agreed to pay reparations to Japanese-Americans who were interned during World War II. The reparations amounted to $1.6 billion in current value. However, it is worth noting that each case is unique and depends on a variety of factors, including the specific circumstances of the case, the applicable laws and legal standards, and the evidence presented in court. Therefore, it is difficult to estimate what damages might be awarded in a hypothetical lawsuit related to the Wallabout Bay prison ships.
