Where can you purchase tobacco seeds?
Thank you for sharing this.
So close to 1k!
I like the tobacco content. Love to see more of it.
Working with bees and no suit, like a boss. 😅 How do you not get stung? Also do bees compost their enemies? 🤔
If you handle them gently such as not rolling them or smashing them, they don’t provoke easy (pending the breed). They will also let you know when they are starting to get provoked, they will get louder and meaner sounding followed by hitting you, then comes the sting. They most certainly do compost their enemies!
Why not on a stand to protect from ants, hive beetles?
It will be come winter. This is the first year bees have been on this property so the beetle load is small so getting the hive off the ground slid down the priority list. Getting the hives off the ground also helps with longevity of the box, it’s slower to decay.
No it’s actually hot….. and freaking delicious
They were!
May I purchase through a donation of course your tobacco seeds or leaves/plants?

I am surprised she has teats that big!! Nice! Full Tunis?
Dang I hope he doesn’t run over those sheep! I am eventually getting cows and my only worry was a heifer potentially mounting the sheep when she goes into heat… now I guess I’ll have to watch out for the bull with them too!
For the most part they work out a pecking order quickly and get along nicely. My ram (not in the short) bosses my bull around.
@@CastraIsidoreFarm oh no you misunderstood me. Even accidents happen with animals. Hopefully mine don’t get run over if the cows get spooked or something
That is a worry, a spooked cow doesn’t think much about a small object in their way.
We are 62. My hubby got the milking chores when he turned 9 and being the baby of the family he had that chore till 18. Lol. He said never again! Excellent video well laid out teaching video. I would like to see how you set up the actual milker and pen systems for the sheep and cows. Well done thanks for posting
Thank you! When my girls come back into milk I will make a video detailing the set up.
This is an excellent video straight to the point and no obnoxious music. Excellent I subscribed
Thank you and I’m glad you liked it!
man that's cold😂
But necessary for survival for every single one of us humans. He just said the quiet part out loud.
nice leaves good size and color, I pick the seed pods off as soon as they appear and I keep one every 2 or 3 years for seed this way the leaves grow faster and bigger.
They were worth having just for the manure, back when my kids kept some.
Cute animal enjoyers unite, to dine 😸
Thanks for the video, this info we need. 😀🌱🐢
Those trees lined so close are some beautiful.
Hello from New Zealand. Once dried how do you pack it for storage? Do you ferment yours at all?
Welcome! I do not technically ferment mine. I have tried and I don't grow enough to make a large enough pile to properly ferment it without mechanical intervention. I will cut it into pipe tobacco and store it in a humidor with the rest of my pipe tobacco. In the storage process it will age, but not ferment.
Im trying bag curing in sun light rolling them up and bag it
Let me know how that works!
Can the same mashine milk sheep and goats
Yes! I built a machine that I milk both my Cow and Sheep on. The main difference is the liner size. Sheep and goats have smaller ones. If you are milking a dwarf goat then you might need a smaller liner.
Can you disclose the name of manufacturer of the machine please
I built my own milk machine. I made a video of it here: ruclips.net/video/5td-kIvMyqA/видео.htmlsi=3M3DYrrGertJaPZ4
❤❤❤❤ wow he is doing it!!
Wonder if anyone sheers them standing up...in a headlock..? I'm too old for this...lol. Would love to have a couple Tunis....
Ultrasound is good or not
Ultrasound is really the only way to know for sure. I am just cheap and don't want to pay a vet to do one.
Wonderful!!! Thank you❤️
❤thank you
Great explanations. Everything I’ve been looking for in one neat package.
Glad you liked it!
Thumbs up for the machine. 😀🌱🐢
Thanks 👍
David the Good....pay attention...🤣
War ain't over, they got their nests 💀💀
Sadly no... still fighting that fight
Blood test, ultrasound are the only 2 would trust.
Agreed! The others are a poor man's guess, but best outside getting a vet to come.
No....I had a 1200kg bull named Lochie chase me once ...I surprised myself by out running him...lol
You’re faster than me! I think I would lose in a race against mine
Really fascinating. The leaves are gigantic-growing vertically on a strong stem. An enormous plant requiring much from the earth. Now I know why George Washington was seeking alternatives to restore the worn out soil. Thanks for demonstrating this process.
They are very heavy feeders! Take a lot of nitrogen out of the soil.
Naaaaaa naaaaaa I had such a good bull
Any specific varieties you like?
I was not disappointed he harvested tobacco
Dress for the job you want.

Amen
Will you do a video on the drying/ curing process?
I don't like critiquing but a far better video idea would be one where the whole process of tobacco-making is shown and spoken about
Yes I will!
lung lettuce 😂
Hahaha love the term!
Hello! I got here from DavidTheGood channel ❤
Welcome!!
I love the idea of using the wool for garden mulch. Especially since I have so many slug issues where I’m at. Maybe I can find somebody with sheep and get some discard wool cheap! I can’t have anything bigger than chickens here in the suburbs but I’m learning and saving for a new place.
I feel your pain. I had chickens, quails, rabbits, and tore up my "beautiful" lawn to put a garden in my front yard on a quarter acer lot in the suburbs at one point. Needless to say my neighbors were happy to see me leave...
Love your videos, like the shirt. Do you have any book recommendations for beginner sheep owners? Thanks. 😀🌱🐢
Thank you! I have David the Good to thank for the shirt! “Managing your Ewe” by Laura Lawson, and “Storeys Guide to Raising Sheep” are some of the best and most used I’ve seen in people. The university of Oklahoma also has some good resources I use a lot as well.
Love the idea of using wool as insulation!
It takes a while to get enough, but it works great!
My homestead is in Vermont and a good idea is to buy a cheap pair of ski gloves, carefully pull out the insulation, and stuff in leftover wool. I did it this winter after Blitzi, my ram, torn a glove I dropped open and pulled the stuffing out. Those glove were junk cheapos. But its 10below zero, so I pulled some loose wool off him and stuffed it in the glove. Immediately the places I put wool in were warm. And the other sheep like sniffing my gloves, it calms them. But my hands smell kinda sheepy all winter 🤓👍
That is a wonderful idea! I married a woman from CT so I will have to make some of those for when we visit her family in the winter!
Nice summary! I'd like to see a full video of the process you use to make the batting
I have one coming out soon on the washing and carding process, and will start working on a batting one!
Holy smokes!
Good job Lassie!!
She's the best corgi I have!
I planted zinnias for the first time this year LOVE THEM❤
