St Louis County Parks mows the grass but we mow some areas to be shorter and clear out the grass clippings. The flags keep the spectators out the areas where is it unsafe.
How to check CL model Line Rake
Просмотров 1,1 тыс.Год назад
talks about the location of the Center of Gravity of the Control Line model and how it will affect the line rake. I start with 2 or 3 degrees and adjust from there. Also remember the vertical CG, if the leadout guide is too low or high it can make the outboard wing fly in the low or high position.

how to install an arming switch harness - lipo powered model

This shows how the motor / Speed Control / Arming switch and battery are plugged together on an Lipo power model airplane. When I say shorting plug that is the same as the arming plug. The Arming plug completes the electrical circuit to deliver the Lipo battery power to the Speed Control.
Electric power - When an arming plug is a good idea.

This video show two examples of electric powered models. One does not need an arming (shorting) plug while the other does require a arming plug. When you do use a arming plug you install the battery and then install the arming plug before you fly and then remove when you are done flying

John Moll is responsible for the this and this makes running a CL speed contest as simple as it can be. The generator was away from the tent shown in the video. Keeping the computer screens away from the glare of the sun is important.

    Its good but why do you have to carry the entire servo tester with you....?

    • @clscale
      @clscale Месяц назад

      When I fly with throttle control the servo tester or other devices that uses the insulated lines is with me while I fly so I can change the throttle setting. The entire point of the insulated lines is to allow you use a JR DSC radio, converted 72 Mhz radio, Bill Young handle, servo tester or other devices to control features on the model for CL scale. Most CL scale models only have throttle control. If you used a JR DSC radio you could have up to 6 channels being controlled from the center of the circle. You wouldn't use this line material if you had a venturi with a traditional needle valve where you fly until you are out of gas.

    I received a Cox Stuka for Christmas 1962. I could not wait to fly it once the Minneapolis winter let up. I took it on my Michigan summer vacation. My maternal grandfather watched me fire up the rascal on the gravel in front of his barn. He let the tail loose on my command the Stuka shot like a rocket straight up! I tried to control the beast. My beautiful Stuka pitched over and went straight down. It crashed hard and broke several pieces. I sent some money to California for replacement pieces. After a wait which seemed forever to 13 year old me, I got the parts and repaired the machine as good as new. I should have suspected the Stuka from my bedroom ceiling to admire during me teen years. Nope! I took the Stuka flying again. It did the same death defying stunt crashing into about a dozen pieces. Apparently, I was not born to pilot control line model aircraft. 17 years later, I earned my private pilots license and achieved my lifelong dream.

    I’ve been trying to find plans for a Fox Stunt Speed plane. The plane you’re flying in this video looks very close. Do you know where I can find plans for a Fox speed plane?

    • @clscale
      @clscale 3 месяца назад

      you can fly any model as long as it has a Fox 35 stunt on the nose. Pick any speed model you like that will allow the fox 35 to be mounted, must have at least one wheel. I have a cosmic wind model I use to lower the average speed. The model flies on power, you can modify the venturi, needle valve, hemi-head, back plate just has to be a fox 35 crankcase.

    The model kit comes with the option to power the rocket with 3 x C6-5 engines, WAY more impressive liftoff than from one D engine. But the detail of the pad, and add’l pre-liftoff smoke is impressive. And how can you have only one camera view?

    The launch tower was awesome the animation on another level excellent build on the entire set up,last time I launched a Saturn V rocket never could find it,it went completely out of sight so it must be orbiting the earth lol,looked for about 3 wks and bout 60+ miles out no rocket

    That Saturn V took of 20 times faster than the real one. The launch tower is just way to cool with the White Room, swing arms, cat walks, nitrogen vapor, fuel pipes, flame buckets and all those details. I think the launch pad is cooler than the rocket. Why was that wire to the left at 7:15 smoking?
