Always out trying to enjoy and explore!!
Welcome welcome!! Was going exploring with my friend just trying to catch some air enjoying summer time and and yes it was a wonderful day to be out riding! This video is filmed in my local area mostly along the whitewater river in Richmond Indiana , there is a nice scenic bicycle rail trail called Cardinal Greenway trail system which I think is an excellent example of great rail trails in Indiana it’s also the longest one here in the state of Indiana also.

    Your collection is interesting. Three very different types. You may want to keep all of your old parts in case you want to switch them back later to make the bikes more original. Customizing is fine, but most collectors choose to revert back to original, or at least period correct. There are currently 652 unique types of bicycles in the world. Most collectors stick with two or three types, but some choose to mix things up. Mine features 16 types over 37 bikes, but I'm in my 70s. Good luck, and I'm glad you enjoy riding them.

Definitely understand the thing about collectors and different cultures there are so many bicycle’s types and many only like like you said Mabey 3 types.. it seems to me if you bike with people listening to a certain kind of music , clothing and style mimic music style there group of bicycle riders listen to, also age group of riders reflect individuals but yeah we all like one thing in common…. Pedaling to move wheels and enjoying the outdoors , sights smells and sounds !! All bikes have a purpose but most important is just getting on and going .. for me anyway lol hay thanks for the comment hope your week this week is a good one 🚲👍🚲🚲❤️

    Hey man, nice vid! Ive got the same trike that i just pulled out of a barn. How do you get the rear wheels off?

    • @grandsubject8138
      @grandsubject8138 3 месяца назад

      The rear wheels have cotter-pins holding them on , so they are hard if to impassable to get out unless you have special tooling to get the pins out, so on top of that once the pins are tampered with the rear wheels will actually become loose feeling when rode again , the pins swell in there over time and the rear wheels then feel solid when riding, it was just a common thing the way Schwinn design of building the rear ends , a lot of times the bikes are just so old that the spokes are loose and the old schwinn bikes don’t ride so well just due to time but, a spoke wrench 🔧 and some tightening can at least get the bike ok to ride again, if you may be trying to do a lowrider build with it , it will be a headake trying to do it with the 3speed rearend .. the single speed schwinn rearends will work so much easier, it’s a much better design then the 3speed cotter-pin for just for say building a custom 20” with it. If you just want to get it out clean 🧽 it up and ride it I’d say to buy a spike wrench. If you have to replace the rim on the back. Don’t mess with the pins it will make the loose feeling in the back like the will wobbling around , flip the bike on its side and take the tire off and disassemble the spokes , bike shops won’t really want to mess with it because it’s so heavy and can’t get in the bike working stand

    Thanks for sharing, I really like to read and hear bike story’s , hay that’s wonderful to hear, very cool moms bike was an oldie and like you said it might of been a tank of a bicycle but the memories from it are priceless, me my sister my cousins grew up going to my grandparents home and got to ride my grandmothers bike a 3wheeler schwinn town and country, it was also a step through, we would 2wheel it a lot it had the single speed so you could still ride it with one back wheel off the ground unlike the 3speeds of them years I think it was like an 74 but. We were kids and we eventually broke the frame doing that with the bike. Top tube broke at the seat post, they had someone weld it back up and then it was fine after that ,we still tried to do the 2wheel motion thing for years after and it was welded right and was solid! Childhood memory’s are wonderful ❤ I don’t miss the bike so much it was heavy with a small crank sprocket but yes magnificent memory’s. Rob again thanks for sharing have yourself a nice weekend to come!! 🤙

    Cool . Hope you have good luck with the Brooks saddle. My mother had a new Single speed with rod breaks in early 1940s when she left school, it was fitted with a Brooks saddle with the springs like yours. As a child in early 70s her bike was well retired in a shed , we as kids draged it out to try , it was a step threw so just about doable as a 9 year old. I was absolutely astonished just how good it was. Heavy with steel rod breaks and wheels ,but the saddle was well broken in and was the best saddle ever , mind you as kids anything was ok . I still to this day remember that old heavy bike but couldn't quite grasp how well it went along ,seat 5 stars , speed 5 stars . Even now with my 2×11 speed carbon race bike with carbon wheels and post , i still remember that old heavy Single speed steel rod breaks and steel wheels with super comfy saddle. G Luck .

      I learned a bit more about super sport just from watching a video from John’s vintage bikes channel. They definitely taught me a few things But I just want to ride the bike to feel the difference between one or another in my own style , hybirding the bikes to sit upright works out for me. I know it looks different putting the handlebars on the bikes but it really feels comfortable riding in this position I like the steering right up on me just like the bikes from the 1890s wish I knew someone that owned one and would let me ride it so I could feel what’s that’s like 🚲

      Thanks for asking, give me a bit of some time to get back to you and I’ll let you know what kind of pricing it takes to build, it just depends on how and in what way you are trying to build it, I’ll get with my friend ask him if he has any of his collection he might part with for me it’s just ask yourself how much passion you might have for a hobby start with tools first work your way through it yourself the hobby is hours upon hours of your time in my opinion having something you built is more rewarding then buying someone else’s creation trade the phone for tools in a tool box no offense it’s just the time investment is not worth the sell of something so detailed That’s why a detailed real lowrider that’s well token care of ,should not sell for under 200 k. Again in my experience and opinion preserving. How many times you gonna see Joe Ray pulling out any of his finished lowriders out. Big levels to it. Tools first then toolbox. Dry air tight storage 200k I was 13 and living in Indiana “Indiana”. There’s very few that live here and understand the concept..value .. passion. To not just trade buy another trade trade. Hold on to something cherish it the rest of your life make sacrifices to keep that what they say pride and joy around don’t fall in the realm as others do with just creating more landfill but sorry for lecturing just don’t like seeing people using our culture for some kind of show off thing witch it is but want more men nowadays turning wrenches to be more of an example to the youth that they can do it on there own too Teach there self there’s no lazy way to being a tru Lowrider and your name pretty much in stone once you become a real worker of Lowriding passion , I mean there is no show here for Lowriders really. Hamilton Ohio dose an event once a year other then that big travel Kentucky and Chicago that’s it. There’s no cruising down any Blvd here non there classic car meets and some cruises with muscle cars no lowriders in this area but me and not even a handful , most are just in struggle just keeping the month rent. For most I suppose anywhere in general by here much so even more it’s great they come up with the rc lowriders for people from much of nothing , tv RUclips social media really has a bigger expatiation than what’s just start out really real some of us are more fortunate even though we really don’t have much money to show out are dreams in a week

      @grandsubject8138 9 месяцев назад

    • @grandsubject8138
      @grandsubject8138 9 месяцев назад

      So 200 k depending if that’s how much you are into the real cars it is not that way for many ,just a clean cruiser can be all the same pride in the cars as of who has the money to bypass the way into being a dedicated Lowrider , sometimes it’s just too much for many and they fall out because it seemed so glamorous when starting to be a worker, many will ask us how we can stand to wipe down a car so much lol. I don’t share my personal cars much really because I’m teaching myself how to do things by studying ones who have and know, the rc world of Lowriding has just took off actually pretty recently it’s not been here that long the car culture been so way much longer but all good vibes don’t let aunts uncles moms dads brothers or sisters try to shut out your dreams with reality believe you can work hard at it with your own hands and you will have what you desire and deserve in the first place

      Ok so the some parts are custom hand made that you can’t buy and a lot of other parts are just sourced from online from small businesses that create sticker’s-bumpers- lights-wheels-etc. the motors can be upgraded to bigger motors more volts computer programs to up the volts it’s expensive hobby to get the cars to look super realistic, extended rear trailing arms to hop higher lol. This is my friend’s collection this is what he is into and he’s probably got one of the best collections in the world. I’m into it also but the real thing I’m a lowrider at heart I spread the lowrider bug off on to others just something I’ve always been into and definitely am an Original Lowrider, I’ve watch people come and go I’m here for life it’s a lifestyle for me I’m 44. Been into Lowriders bikes and cars ect from about 13 years old as I can remember never got into other cars or truck styles but Mabey custom rods rat rods bombs etc. mini trucks are ok but don’t care to own one, so but yeah, with the Redcat’s RC’s. I love them I’m personally waiting to buy one but a model they don’t have out yet a Bomb like a 48 or an 54 Chevy , thanks for asking !! appreciate your interest into the culture !! Buy one you will love it it’s alot cheaper then buying building and storing and taking care of the real thing!! lol you are here now. No turning back. Welcome to the world Of Lowriding Bikes Cars Motorcycles And models ! Yess yes I love to here that Welcome 🙏

    Mic audio is good and right level. However background music is overpowering your commentary. Personally i prefer just natural street sounds with any of your commentary, but that's just me . Nice run out . Cool bike pic is extra bonus.
