01 300ex idling issues help..

Slight back fire through carb,rough idle,idles high,runs good when riding just idle is crap,and slight back fire through carb. I'll post other videos as well. Came with full fmf pipe and pretty sure carbs been jetted. I opened it up to clean it and the jets but is super clean inside. The valves may need to be adjusted but header gasket is bad so pretty sure that's where noise is coming from. An...

Right handed..so I hold the reel in my left hand and cast with my right hand. I also use my thumb to prevent over'run (birds nest) Stated learning on a Penn500 an d still love em. Eventually got me a Daiwa sl50. Can't lie..as good as the Penn 500'w..this Daiwa is better. Can't sea myself ever using a coffee grinder style reel..so I stay with the multi-plier reels.

Guess it never posted oh well. Loving all the hate hahahah looks like my idea of a 6'6 boat rod and socks worked. And still can outcast any of the fools hating with my 6'6 and 20+ year old reel. Ahah love it

It was just a cheap 6'6 I had laying around wasn't sure it was gonna work but got a nice whip out of it. Got that reel on 8ft mh rod now and does great

The crazy part is these reel provide insane value if you KNOW how to use them , but the reason the are so cheap is because no one knows how to properly cast with them so demand for them is low thus price is low , but these are tank reels that last usually forever and provide insane fishing potential if you know how to operate it like this guy in the video many people thought this is boat only reel but it has very high potential for surf casting as well if you know how to use it as you can see demonstrated in this video 💪
Vintage penn reels work well if maintained, and that rod is 1 peice fiberglass, and damn near impossible to break. I used those rods stripped of components to make a couple of really solid custom boat rods when i was younger and poorer. The price of gear isnt as imporant at some folks make it seem.

This is how my Dad showed us how to surf cast in the 80's. Eating hot dogs on a camp fire on Plum Island .i miss those days and i miss my Dad.

Yeah I’ve had some experience with the conventional reels and casting that far isn’t easy by and stretch
