My wife and I were there June 3rd 2017. An interesting place. I am a former Art student and found it fascinating. I can say that it is not the kind of place that you can take it all in in only one trip.

I was in the drum line then. Man the memories. I still got my sticks from the Missouri competition we did. I miss those guys

One of the saddest photos I have ever taken, was of a couple on N. Van Buren. Amid piles of debris from every home in that neighborhood, was the pair sitting on top of a pile, the looks on their faces to which words could not describe. It was the day before that one could not even drive on that block. People scurrying everywhere to save what they could carry. Or behind the Fire Department watching a boat rescuing a woman and her pets. How sad.

I live in the apartment complex just to the north of the park (Key Apartments) and was down at the bridge about 9 or so. I have never seen the water come up so fast and the water has NEVER hit the underside of the railroad bridge...never. I was out the night before storm watching and did not have a clue all this was coming.

My favorite part of the concert was when Mark (the guitarist) got some kids up on the stage and one of them was doing some tumbling dance moves all the way across the stage. That killed us! Again, great crown, really had fun up there in Iowa City. Paul - Karma
