I actually never played XV2, but I hear they improved it in every way, especially in the character creation. But XV2 you cannot play online because of the EAC anti-cheat.

@@naturestheticz definitely. and its super cheap right now, so for 90% off its a must buy imo. If you played the other Metro games, its similar only with much larger maps. you got semi open world to explore. Very atmoshperic and nice story. Mods on steam deck work very well! However, CG cutscenes break. I think it's because of the proton version needed to get mods working.

@@TreyBecauseWhyNot Looks like you need to use GE proton to fix the CG cutscenes if you use SADX Mod. There's a nice guide showing how to install mods here: gamebanana.com/tuts/16934#H1_0

yeah, you are not going to notice it on a small screen at 800p resolution. its good for maxing out graphics on pc with high resolutions like 4k

Its a great game! glad they finally released it on PC. it runs way better on my steamdeck compared to the legion go for some reason, could be drivers.

I personally think you are going to enjoy it more by just emulating. Less tinkering to do and a more stable experience in general. And congrats on getting a Steam Deck! ☺

@ Thank you so Much 😄 Would you recommend emudeck or standalone emulator ? Im a complete noob, so not so tech savvy… Just been looking at different tutorials and read a lot on Reddit. Would you recommend Xenia for skate 2 & 3? And PlayStation emulator for getting up?

@@FreshForceCrew1No problem! 😃 Emudeck is great since it installs emulators for nearly every consoles and its very easy to set up. you should look up a tutorial for it, there's plenty on youtube. And yes, Xenia for Skate 2 & 3 should be good, there is also a PS3 version, but not sure how well that will run. For getting up PCSX2 should work nicely.

yes! though I personally don't think its worth upgrading to this version if you already have the original complete edition, at least not on the Deck. Since you are not going to notice all the graphical upgrades when playing on lower settings.

Hey! sure I can try that. I think you need to use the same method as I do here to manually update ubisoft connect, when I tried Assassins creed 2, It had the old uplay still.

Hey! sure this should work fine. I didn't have to do anything last time I played it. It should also select low settings by default which is the best way to play imo One thing you may have to do is download a different controller preset as i do in 00:48 in the video cause I couldn't click confirm

@@dell1947 As you can see in the video I can play it so it works for me at least 😅 The verification system is not perfect and some games work even if valve mark it as unsupported. Only thing I had to do is use a different controller template since the official one wouldn't let me press A, as you can see in 00:40 in the video. Other than that in-game you will see blank icons instead of controller buttons, but its not a big issue imo. Might be this is the reason its "unsupported"

yes true! enabling gyro is also a good idea for easier aiming. you got many options on the deck 😅

Plays very well imo but text is a little small. As for PC comparison.. Its hard to say.its similar experience only you play handheld & use a gamepad. On a gaming PC you will get better performance.

I was using default emulator settings. And yes, when playing PS2 games I also feel some input lag. don't know what do do about it..

I didn't encounter this issue. I think the upside down bug with older proton versions. but there are still bugs and glitches with some cutscenes, sounds may not play etc.

Yeah released today! Its very fun. definitely worth it on the Deck, and price of $25 is fair. Pretty sure it will get a verified tag soon. Only con is lack of graphical options to tweak, but they can always add that with a patch. 😄

No problem mate, thanks for watching! Having fun with it right now. so far from what i've seen the performance is the same as in Act 1. Its a decent port! I just wish we had graphic settings in-game to tweak.

Yes, its a very creepy game. this sort of setting with antique buildings makes for the best horror feel imo!

Sorry for the late reply I didn't get a notification for the comment! I didn't have to do anything special, it just ran for me out of the box. I select DirectX 10 during launch, and that's about it. You got a specific error when trying to play this? maybe try different proton version and verify your installed files to make sure nothing is corrupted and all files got downloaded correctly.

@@Aladelicous it’s really great. The open world is not too big and there are some linear parts too so maybe that’s why you liked it. Started a new game plus play through in the video. It’s really fun on the deck. Shame we probably not going to see a new game in the series any time soon if ever, seeing how they fired the original devs 😢

If you like horror games its a must play imo. definitely recommended

It would have been perfectly fine if they priced it around $20. For the price they are charging, I would have expected a remaster with the same level of quality as RDR2. I'll think about it when this game hits 50%. At full price I only see somewhat of an appeal for people who played RDR2 but never RDR.

Sadly I think they added a new anti-cheat recently so it can no longer be played 😥 Such a shame they add anti-cheat that break games years after release..

I used a user made community config that you see in the first few seconds in the video. And in game I think I set configuration preset as x360Default. Click on options, controlls, and there you can test controller buttons and do some tweaking

@@DeckPower I found the killroy preset and disabled gyro steering and done some button mapping its working now perfectly btw thank you for the answer, maybe later I want to install content manager to have some mods tracks cars etc and getting multiplayer working too

Its the default settings. since we rename the launcher to make the game run, and its the place where you can change settings. Its how the game runs without tweaking for me. Couldn't figure out how to manually change settings with registry edits on the deck.

Deathspank feels right at home on a handheld! The trilogy is a lot of fun. though I think Ron Gilbert didn't work on The Baconing. I noticed on many older titles you need to manually enable controller in the settings for it to work. I guess back then it wasn't that common for PC gamers to use a gamepad. Glad that my video made you reinstall. Have fun! ☺

It's an unboxing video with some gameplay. nowhere did I mention a review. But here's a short pros and con review: Pros: Big screen, detachable controllers and FPS mode can be great for RTS and shooter games. Can also be used as a tablet. Cons: A bit too big in some situations. the native resolution is too high and is being wasted as you can only run old games at 1600p. The speakers don't sound that good. Battery is not big enough. AAA games can be played for just 1.5h at performance mode.

With the launch options the game is playable. but there are some minor graphical glitches. I think its worth playing, though if you have the option I'd say emulating the PS2 version would give you a better experience.

make sure to remove the widescreen .asi file too, otherwise the inventory wheel will be fucked

Nice coincidence, we must indeed be plugged into Stem! haha. I was looking at what horror games I could showcase for the season. and this seemed like a good fit. Seems like the engine is not optimized well for modern hardware, a game from 2014 should be running way smoother. And funny that the 2nd game also takes less space than then the 1st and runs better as you mentioned.

It just worked for me out of the box. didn't have to tweak anything to make it run.. Don't know why you can't open it :/ Maybe try verifying files / restarting steam / switching to different proton version.

Hey! I Didn't buy it yet. might get it when its on sale. But looking at the system requirements of the store page, i think the game should work well on high settings.

The game is always online from what i can tell. when I was running around i saw real players near me in the safe house. didn't try joining others in coop but it should work.

congrats on getting a new oled deck! for me the game works fine so i don't know what could be wrong. tried it just now and it works on latest proton 9.0-3. I select play -> play MX vs. ATV Reflex and it works. Could be some files are corrupted, try going to the settings by clicking the cog. -> properties go to the installed files tab, and try to verify integrity of game files
