No one who cared about Fleming or his creation should have had anything to do with McClory. McClory's ungentlemanly legal pursuit of rights to Thunderball likely contributed to the decline of Fleming's health and, by extension, his life. While McClory's lawsuit may have appeared just on paper, his irrational character is evident in the bizarre claims he later made in additional legal actions concerning the Bond cinematic property. For Fleming, the lesson-"never trust a handshake when you're the one with everything to lose"-proved devastating. He suffered his first heart attack during the trial and his second, fatal one just nine months later. The world lost further adventures of the literary James Bond--our passport to Fleming's unique world was revoked.
veeery nais
Sean Connery's hairpiece's in the early Bonds looked far more realistic.. Cheap film cheap hairpiece perhaps.
Back when men seemed to have male looking lips, especially masculine men. Thin top lip and large bottom lip...now they all seem to have female looking lips.
What?
@@TMDWTFIU Now men look like females with full pouty lips, back then they had more masculine looking mouths.
Is there a link to the follow-up with Roger Moore?
That hairpiece for sure came close to a serious breach of the Geneva convention. Abominable look...
When the interviewer referred to wearing the hairpiece,Connery should have given him a death stare and said 'what hairpiece'
Es war immer der Koch.😂😂😂Kaptain Cook.❤❤❤Red October 🫡🫡🫡👧🏻👧🏼❤️🔥🫶😅😅
This may be filmed at Luton Hoo, one of the filming locations for NSNA.
Legend. Rest in 24 frames per second. 🙏
He seemed fit and moved well for a 53 year old man
The original n best Bond
El se veia bien de todas las formas era un crack
SHEXSHEH!
Mr.Bean actor was actually in this Bond Film.
Yes he was.
Atkinson already a big star in uk in 1983
@@mark4lev I didn't know ,I have to look him up.,he looked real young in the Bond movie.
It's amazing that he made Highlander only 3 years later
He looks better here than in Diamonds are forever
Except for the hairpiece. DIAMONDS was a better hairpiece.
Connery only returned to playing Bond because his star had fallen somewhat by the early 80's.
That`s not why. His star never fell. There was bad blood between Sean and the Bond producers Cubby Broccoli and Harry Saltzman for years. Sean believed they were insanely greedy about the massive Bond profits. Broccoli and Saltzman didn't want Never Say Never to be made and it was a way for Sean to finally stick it to them by competing with THEIR Roger Moore Bond offering.
Connery looked slimmer and in better shape than he did in DAF
He was most likely heavier here. He looks better because of his tan, trimmed eyebrows, and a good toupee.
I read somewhere that he made a point to have same waistline he had during Dr. No for this.
@@ricardocantoral7672the shirtless scenes beg to differ
Didn’t care for Never Say Never.Thunderball was better.I only went to see it was Sean being James Bond again.
some people from that dreadful town near london and India maybe more Roger Fans now i think.
🌹🌹🌹🌹
I wish this movie was in the James bond collections 🎰 then I sure it would be much more appreciated as Sean Connery's last bond film 🎲
I always wished that he'd have done On Her Majesty's Secret Service. To me, that would have made the ideal final movie for him. In addition, it was a poor choice for Lazenby to make as his debut. When you consider that he came back just a year or two later to make Diamonds are Forever, which was of nowhere near the same caliber, it makes it even sadder that they wasted On Her Majesty's Secret Service on Lazenby.
Thunderball is a great fourth Connery Bond film. The 007 music. Opening scene. Twice is also great. Sean was offered 5 million, and that was not mentioned in this interview, for Never
Sean Connery Had Sprained Wrist During Bond Warhead. Had Changed By Second Wife His Noted Comment Never Again.
A little bit of trivia. The one responsible for it was the young Steven Seagal during Connery’s training.
Sir Sean Connery Had Hand Therapy While In Post Production. Exercises Helped Develope Treatments. Of Wellness.
Love all the bond films but my favourite is probably never say never again. For me it was the perfect Bond movie; great locations, great villain, beautiful bond girls and great sound track - and the greatest Bond of course!
Are you… ok?
@@t7489 I'm fine thanks. You?
I agree with everything except the music part. I wish one day oit can be rescored with John Barry
"great soundtrack" 😂
@@rikardandersson183 yeah sure, why not? Some great jazz, samba..😉
Excellent interview. Both Connery and the interviewer seemed to enjoy it. And it’s promoting one of the best Bond films, “Never Say Never Again.” Connery is definitely in better shape and more relaxed.
wasnt he going bald then is he wearing a wig?
That's a wig, on the sets of NSNA
He's been wearing a wig since Goldfinger.
@@cockshieldsince Dr. No actually
But not really that bad until like 1970
Seán Connery looks better without the moustache in my opinion and clean shaven
Took years off him with this look and the look he had in time bandits and Outland.
I think he looks good with a beard.
Is that a hairpiece the great man's wearing?
@@Revolver1981 Yes. He was balding since he was in his 20's and by the 1980's, was completely bald.
He hated toupees actually
I think Never Say Never Again was the perfect finale to Connery's Bond arc. I hope he had an easier time filming that film than Diamonds Are Forever.
great footage, thanks!
Amazing song Avicii 😍🇵🇱
