Pal of mine who sells BMW’s and the occasional Ferrari or Lambo sells a bmw 1 series for around £8k He’s in a chineese restaurant on a Sunday at 3pm and gets a text there’s a problem so looks but leaves it . 15 mins later he gets a call the brake lights on so as loudly as possible in a packed restaurant screams I’m trying to have a fkin chineese meal with my family and you’re ruining it 😂😂😂

Is it the case that in a part exchange, a car may be initially valued at, say, £10,000, but the dealer might inflate the price to £13,000? Then, if the dealer accepts a car in part exchange valued at £3,000, it effectively means the dealer has acquired the £3,000 car at no cost. In this scenario, the buyer has essentially given their car to the dealer for free, allowing the dealer to make a profit on the original £10,000 sale and potentially make an additional profit when they resell the part exchange car or sell it at auction. Does this actually happen?

When at a Peugeot dealer we had a lady estate agent turn up in the showroom one lunchtime to buy a new 205 CTI, but only if it could be delivered the same afternoon. As this was pre internet it meant we had to PDI, register and tax the car in a big rush (always a long queue at the licensing office). We did it, but she proved to be forever a huge pain in the a*se, everything had to be done immediately, no ifs or buts.

Great cars are sold, and some cool part exchanges in. That beetle is really cool. Great advertising vehicle. Surely it's worth around £7k. Guess it's just that it's an import and converted left to right drive, which may depreciate it a little...colour is right though !
