Interesting Audios - #5 - Experimental City Evangelism Reel to Reel Tape
This is a short 7-1/2 iPS Reel-to-Reel tape I found, there is not much information about this one unfortunately, with the box and reel having no writing or indicators of any kind. From the contents on the tape alone, I can tell that it was most likely meant to be played during church, to anyone who was interested in experimental ways of evangelizing the cities. This most likely never happened, however, because the tape still had the "remove before play" sticker on it. I digitized this using an old Concord MK-8, with half century old capacitors, it doesn't sound half bad with a bit of audio cleanup. I plan on getting a better player soon, so hopefully more tape videos to come.

How to Digitize Film The "Cheap" Way
Просмотров 19614 дней назад
In this video I demonstrate the method I use to transfer movie films. Stuff used in the video: Camera - Powershot G12 Projector - Graflex 16 Model 915 Tripod - Kingjoy VTS-991L Light Source - iPhone SE 1st Generation (This is technically what I use but a diffused light would probably be better)
Interesting Audios - #3 - Edison Diamond Disc - Oriental Moon Fox Trot

This is my attempt at playing a vertically cut Edison Diamond Disc, I used a 0.7 mil stylus on an out of phase cartridge (correct phase for Diamond Disc), Overall I think it sounds pretty good, the condition of the disc itself helped a lot with that.
Interesting Audios - #4 - Duquesne Brewing Co. Promotional Record

This is a promotional record from the Duquesne Brewing Company in Pittsburgh PA. Dated 1955, I really couldn't find much info on this one, it's possible it was only given to employees, or just didn't sell well. Either way, my copy exists and is in good condition, so I hope you enjoy.
Interesting Audios - #2 - Early 50s German Record - (Electrola EG 7801)
Просмотров 513 месяца назад
This is a transfer of another record I have in my collection, while its origins aren't as mysterious as the last video in this series, I still thought it was pretty cool being a German 78 from the early 50s (1952 or 1953, actual date is unknown). It is an Electrola brand record which is a subsidiary of the Universal Music Group. 1. Welss-Blau - 0:00 2. Oktoberfeststimmung - 2:55

After this video was copyright claimed by LatinAutorPerf I discovered that the second side is actually “Swanee Butterfly.” I don’t know why my record has a blank label, or why it was claimed, but at least I found out the title.

The label probably fell off, due to age that is a common with Diamond Discs

"The Sound of Music" (song) wasn't published until 1959, so I assume it couldn't have been recorded before that. Wow, that's a pretty jazzy version of "Lonesome Road." I'm used to the Jack Prince version on The Andy Griffith Show.

This is great! Sounds like The Three Suns rehearsing in their garage.

There's much more to 78rpm playback. It's advisable to perfectly allign the cartridge for avoiding too much distortion. And you'll also gonna be needing different styli widths like a 2.8, 3.0, 3.5 and even 4,0 mil.

Thanks for the feedback, yes I know there is more to playing a 78 than what I explained in my video, but I just wanted to cover the basics and keep it short.
