@@48Boxer we came through at high tide. Plenty of water.
Amazing I loved it
👍! 💙💙
Impressive how good Stella is about jumping between the different 'boats'. Fun to see.
Good morning from NC everyone!
What was the measurements on those internals? I need about an 8x3 for a homemade air filter
@@lodollar23 don't know for sure. Might work
Sorry. Michigan.
Why do you have to prime the generator raw water every time to start it? Seems odd, is there a raw water leak?
@@peterinsyracuse7056 no leaks I can find. We dont loose prime if we don't travel. If we travel we have to close raw water seacock and we're good. First world problems. Right?
Thats not virginia, my favorite place in the whole world , my first steps were on the north pier, first fish caught, happiest days , Very first memories , life was good, Grandpa survived on perch when he was 13yrs. OLD
Ha, ha!
Tree(s) across road(driveway). Cut one could drive under other. Big one hit house right at ridge beam, ripped part off wall off. I'm pretty calm usually and was same one this. No one hurt and can be repaired. Heart goes out to people in East Tennessee and Western North Carolina. Entire towns gone and who knows how many people lost their lives. Tragic. Pray for those people, not those with material damage.
@@johnmarschalk1977 Romans 8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
Looks like a nice anchorage, dinghy dock, several restaurants, a museum. Do you keep portlights open at night for a breeze? Do you ever have to run the generator at night for A/C?
@@johnschieffelin3226 with cooler weather we keel the windows open. We run the generator for AC or heat when needed. We also run it if house batteries get to low. Solar keeps up for about a week to 10 days.

Why even buy and install CO detectors if you aren’t going to listen to them? It doesn’t matter if you think the alarm is false or not. You still have to leave.
Nothing is ever easy on a boat! Nice job
@@IslandOasisFlorida Thanks. First world problems really.
Very resourceful.
@@johnschieffelin3226 thanks. We can't afford not to be.
My my experience with the bridges Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida. You go through the procedure on the VHF and they open the bridge. When they’re ready. I think they’re trying to say I’m in charge.
Some of them for sure. This one wanted all three boats to know. We all had to stop and back down because of wind and current were pushing us through the bridge. Not all are like these. Actually most are not. It's our human nature. It's pride. Guilty as charged.
Spent a week at the Manteo Town dock, great town. The wife thought you said, the correct way to tie your boat bitches
lol Rose's is a low end K-Mart if that's actually possible
Great video! Chowan is Pronounced like Choe-wan. rhymes with Hoe-wand, minus the d.
Thanks for that!
Pretty river. Your dinghy makes tracks -- speedy. Edenton was in the paper -- WSJ -- today -- big local flap over Confederate soldier statue in the middle of town. A handful of folks go out and stage protests about it once a week or so.
Sad
Hey, great tour of Columbia. Has anyone mentioned Hurricane Floyd of 99? Now that was some really bad flooding on some of those rivers. What’s your vertical clearance required? There’s a new fixed bridge (15 feet) to make it up the Blackwater, upstream of the Chowan river, should you decide to make your way up to Franklin, VA. Some Union gunboats tried one time. You’d pass through the now gone South Quay (Key), where I’m from on the Blackwater river. Once a thriving port with a shipyard until it was destroyed by Cornwallis’s army around 1780-81.
We're 18.5 feet vertical.
There's probably some environmental cleanup liability from the plywood plant for whomever buys it. The current owners are probably exempt unless they try to develop it.
I live in Eastern NC Glad to see you enjoying our state
Loved the video! I didn’t realize there was that much in Plymouth, now I wanna go back for the animal museum. Been to Edenton too but had never seen the queen. Thanks! Were you able to make it to the Piggly Wiggly while you were there? Great and interesting place. Haven’t seen all your videos but I hope you’ve stopped at New Bern too.

You think this type of system would work well on a metal van . You think it would hold at 70/80mph
@@Archers3001 Nope. If the wind gets under it its gone. Takes off like an airplane.
Oh Stella 😂😂😂
Did you stay more than one day?
@@experiencingliberte1465 3 nights.
I love it there!!
Well done! Our 8 year old, 80 pound chocolate lab would jump in one leap to get a piece of pizza but God help anyone standing near the top of the stairs.
I'm still considering buying that same model dingy, but WestMarine hasn't had as good a sale as the one you used. The 310 is rated for 4 people, have you carried 4 ok? There are some poor reviews on the WM website re transom delamination and separation, no sign of that on yours?
We have had 4 plus Stella. Okay in calm water. Really it's too small for four. No problems with transom. It has a 5 year warranty.
Thanks nice tour.
I don't understand how folks live without a good dog in their life Good girl!

Slime is a byproduct of life. Life hates copper. Microorganisms don't tend to grow on copper. Great idea whoever had it. But the outer casing of the plumbing is brass or bronze which is mostly copper anyway.
Nice dinghy.
Depending on what time of year it is, that green on the water could just be pine pollen. It gets pretty thick at times.
Don't know if it works on the mayflies or whatever they are, but mixed spearmint oil w either water or alcohol, been a while so don't remember, and sprayed my dad's pontoon boat and the supports holding the marina roof up. We didn't have any of those spiders on the boat. Sprayed the guy next to us because we fished together some. Only 2 boats that didn't have spiders and webs on the boat
Those bugs are the worst!! 🥺
Thanks for sharing your day. Just want to pet that dog of your's.
You did a good deed for sure!
Haha, my daughter's dog would already be in the water trying to catch one. Someone found her in the dumpster at around 8 weeks while she was a college and I was mad. Three job school, eat and sleep. Best dog "we've" ever had. Shoot a gun and she's looking at the sky for something to fall. Gets irritated if you shoot a couple of times and miss. Finds someone that's a better shot to hang out with!
Need to add Ft Jefferson to your list to visit. Seventy miles west of Key West, so need a several day good weather window. I believe it used the most bricks of any fort built. Dr Mudd, accused in the Lincoln assassination plot, was jailed there.
