In that case buy an OEM valve cover. The spark plugs tube seals are not serviceable. Can’t be replaced.

It’s tough to push and twist at the same time make sure it’s oriented the same way it came out. It will go on just have to push down and get the lock to twist

I highly advice against that. It won’t work. Just get one off amazon if on a budget they’re like $50

Hi and thanks for becoming a sub. The fix for your issue is the same as in this video buy a valve cover complete unit and change it out following the steps in this video and problem solved.

Exactly the problem but they can’t be serviced that’s why I recommend the entire unit. If you need any extra pointers or any questions feel free to reach out.

Yes you can plug it using a rubber plug you can pick one up at a local autoparts they usually come in a package with a few different sizes but the pack and find the one that fits and also install a new hose clamp on it just to be safe.

Don't plug it. They have radiators for the 2018 that the port is on the drivers side and radiators with the port on the passenger side. You have to make sure you get a radiator with the port on the same side as the radiator in your car.

@ I ordered oem and got 1 with extra ports that my car doesn’t use. And they are open. It’s installed so at this point I have to plug it. It capped off with universal rubber caps but i ordered some quick connect hard caps that are supposed to work. They haven’t come in yet

Yes you do.

You don’t have to remove the manifold. Just make sure the bolt is completely out of the threads and move it around angle it it’s a very tight fit but it’s doable.

@ so had to loosen the top 3 bolts to intake manifold to get some more room to take it out .

That is news to me. I’ve done plenty of these and have never had to loosen any bolts for the intake

Yes it matters. Check vehicle and make sure what you have they are different sizes

Not required to remove manifold you can easily get to the bolt it’s right next to trans bell housing

No particular reason, just wear and tear. They are made out of plastic so overtime they fail.

I just shortened the hose and used a brand new hose clamp on the quick connect.

It didn’t have drain plug I just un hooked the lower rad hose this vehicle didn’t have much coolant in it as it was cracked and had lost almost all coolant

It didn’t have a petcock so I unhooked the lower radiator hose
