    It is a bit too late as for now. Just by plant a few people trees don't change anything on the climate change. It is hilarous and to think so. To get a people with motorists tools to clear the leaves is that damaging enough to the environment.

    Cannot believe a minister is that stupid to not know that Israel has no right to self defense in the occupied territories as per international law. Please don't educate us with wrong information. Singapore is a recognised state. Palestine is not. Therein lies the difference. If Palestine was a free and independent country recognised by the UN, then and only then will the right to self defend is given. Is this the best you can do Masagos? Pathetic and disappointing.

    Minister Vivian Balakrishnan made an elaborate speech which condemned Hamas for their actions on 7 October 2023. That action triggered the current explosive responses from Israel. However, when the explosive responses from Israel grow terribly horrific with Palestinian civilians becoming expendable collateral damages, there is no similar condemnation on Israel, except to infer their actions have gone too far. I agree Hamas action on 7 October deserves condemnation. However, PM Netanyahu's hard stance is totally heartless and I can only say "PM Netanyahu is a vindictive Mad Dog."

      No one is humiliating you and other muslims, if you are so sensitive and intolerant then blame yourself. If you are a Muslim then of course you side with Muslim, but please don't forget Singapore is multiracial. And Singapore is in many ways similar to Israel. Israel is a diverse country too with different races living together. So you can stop your intolerance view. Don't forget, whatever happens to Israel can easily happen in Singapore. We are as vulnerable. So if you wanna have a view that supports only Muslims, then please relocate yourself to an Islam country.

      Being human is to tolerate different race and culture. Hamas and Islamic extremists is a group that cannot tolerate Jews. So don't stand on a high ground and talk about humanity. If you are really a human, you should be condemning Hamas.

    Most people don't need to pay income tax..and the GST is another way to tax those exempted from paying personal income tax.. Like the PAP slogan says... "To build a just society "...

  • @cklee804
    @cklee804 3 месяца назад

    The GST is a western concept with a communist application....to tax everyone equally in an unequal society is to burden the poor much more than the rich ...it is similar to the utopia communist concept to make everyone equal regardless of each person's ability ...eg the General and the private earning the same pay or the medical specialist having the equal treatment of a house orderly . So in reality ..and logically such an approach cannot apply...each must be treated according to his ability . Hence there are many ,many items which the lower strata of society must not be given a high GST to burden the poor and the rich can be made to help out in many ,many ways . China 🇨🇳 has adopted the Common Prosperity concept and Singapore can improve on it and can do better in this way to have a more equitable society . Besides Singapore should not plough so much into military expenditure as there are no external enemies and Singapore is too small to fight any enemy except to make friends .The Israel concept of IRON DOME is a delusion...so having more planes will not do and a waste of resources ...better chanel to social welfare. Navy boats to curb pirates and smugglers would be better and funds to prevent the development of terrorist cells will give more safety to the nation. The will of the people with loyalty and support to a government which cares for the majority is the greatest defence ..not only for Singapore as a nation ...but for every nation having this spirit. Lawrence Wong ..the future PM must look into this reality ...Maju Singapura.

      Now, are we not vulnerable? If we are not vulnerable, why do we spend 5 to 6 percent of our GDP year after year on defence. Are we mad? This is a frugal Govt, you know that well. We dig a tunnel for the sewers at the cost of 3.65 billion in order to use the sewerage water for NEWater, to be independent. We are not vulnerable? They can beseige you, you'll be dead. Your sea lanes are cut off and your buisness comes to a halt. What is our reply? Security council, plus defence capabilities of our own, plus the Security Framework Agreement with the Americans. They stopped sand. Why? To conscribe us. As Mahathir says, even at their present size, they are trouble, you let them grow some more they will be even more trouble. We got friendly neighbours.
