The scenery and art in this game is gorgeous. The combat...I could maybe use an easy mode, just to whittle down how long some fights take me.
This is beautiful and I want to play more

I looked up Tecolotl's name and listened to audio pronunciations, so I know what I'm doing wrong there at least! I'm trying to replicate the final sound through repetition, as I would like to pick up this full game and play it at some point, and I'd like to be able to get at least one name right when I do.

I personally won't be picking this one up just because it was making something in my computer spin so fast it was rattling. Cute game overall though. I would've been tempted if not for the performance struggle.
A Kingdom of Cards - Tiny Kingdom Demo
Просмотров 18Месяц назад
It's interesting and kind of fun, but having played just a few more games I do think some re-balancing of some kind may be needed. I got one kingdom to 170 population. I had way, way, way too many docks. My deck was flooded with island cards. I couldn't draw houses (for free extra cards and population) or fields (for gold) to save my life. I went from a comfortable surplus of gold and a managea...

Might pick this one up at some point. Going to need a better froggy name, though. I played just a tiny bit further after ending the recording and used the first froggy gate pool. Pretty cool stuff over there!

this game is friggin adorkable <33 [offtopic, i just lost 536 hours of Wildermyth playtime from Steam sync issues, *all* of my characters, gone >< i like your owls]
@@SkoomaFish Thank you! I like my owls too. I'm definitely playing more of this game. And oh no, that's so much to lose! I hope there's a way to recover it but you've probably tried everything already...
I loved the demo for this game. Super excited for it's release. To put away your weapon/tool it's X on keyboard. The tutorial did mention, but you were attacking the raider and missed it. The grid is visible when you're holding the hoe; makes it super easy to make perfectly lined up crops. And that wooden chest in the small pond - you can grab it, just not in the tutorial. You just encountered an invisible wall as the tutorial is guiding you to sleep in the house. I'm not sure what plans there are for the fantasy elements of the game - I also noticed nothing at all in the demo and I played through it several times. I know one of the trailers shows a unicorn, but I've not seen anything else.
Ah, of course it was a tutorial bit I missed! All very good to know, especially about the wooden chest - I was wondering if that was going to be something I had to fish out somehow, but it makes some sense that the tutorial rails were trying to keep me from being distracted. I actually wondered well after the fact if toggling grid on in build mode might have caused the hoe to snap as well, or if there was a grid mode for gardening. Never spotted the faint guides. A unicorn could mean anything, from "this world is deeply and intrinsically magical and there are wonders around every corner" to "magic is dying, and this is the last, solitary symbol of what is now lost." It'll be interesting to see which way that goes.
Perhaps this is out of topics. But I love the style of your channel. From channel name, the art style, and game selections. It's cozy, mystical and beautiful. Subscribed.
Thank you!
i will join next live to indicate volume leves
Hi lady, looks like a nice game, will try it
I have a question. How long should I level the study task?
The Study task will only be available until you graduate as a full wizard if I recall correctly, so don't worry too much about leveling it up enough - just use it to get Research up as needed! It'll be replaced by other ways to gain Research and Arcana depending on what you spec into anyway.
@@threeowls2052 Ok thanks, fair enough. It was available not far from the start but since it would be a waste of time so early I appreciate you're wise advice. Keep up the good work and good luck with you're wizarding paths.
:0 woa
I sense underrated person
Will watch this all the way through once ive slept
I know I’m late, but super helpful as I just picked up this game
this is so pretty!! definetly the kind of place i'd want to live in
We yearn for NOT the suburbs, please, give us places with character and wildflowers.
This is such a cute and relaxing game! I’m gonna play the demo as soon as I can. Also your voice is so nice to listen to!
another game to add to my wishlist (it's really starting to fill up lol)
What a nice relaxing game! I also like how you gravitate towards wizardry stuff/games since it reqlly feels like most of those games dont get enough attention.
I was really impressed with this game when I tried it during the nextfest demo, looking forward to the full release. Channel/video question: When I last checked out the channel (I think it was Have a Nice Death or a similar game?) your videos all seemed to have a crazy low framerate kind of regardless of the game, but that seems like it's been fixed. Do you remember at what point that got resolved or what the issue was?
It was probably Death's Door! I've since gotten a better graphics card (and also discovered that I had some settings automatically on in that game in particular which made it extra crunchy). The graphics card change was made right at the beginning of this year.
This is such a lovely, cozy game! Going to have to add it to my wishlist now :)
A wonderful showcase of the game! I really want to check it out myself now
Damn, what a nice video. Cozy vibes and such a comfortable voice. Thank you, youtube algorithm
I’m two hours in so far, and having lots of fun watching!
I like the ending sequence of this game a lot. Man, what a fun game
And of course, the day after I upload the game is updated! If you play, there are no more pumpkins. We now have a winter seasonal event with frosty adventures, potions, and spells. Two new skills have also been added: City Exploration and Shopkeeping, which could be interesting given that one of the lower-level Houses available is indeed a Shop.
Yeah I noticed and went into shop keeping but didn't get the shop home cause I haven't needed it so far and got by through leveling tasks enough so far. Also I have one more question. For some reason I can't buy another home even though it has more space despite having the gold for it, is it possible that since my current home has only 1 space left that that is the reason why I cannot purchase the bigger home?
@@alexandreaanderson514 If it has more space, maxing or nearly maxing out your current home doesn't matter. Are there any other requirements for that home? Some homes call for gold as well as other resources, such as certain elemental gems or tomes or the like.
@@threeowls2052 No, but thanks for me know, for some reason I had to clear out space but I got the one I wanted. Musta been a bug.
Never seen this game before, cool to see you play, even if I’m out of touch!
Well I for one am glad the stream wasn't finished quickly, this was fun
Here after watching the vod of the full game
Love the little owl fey btw
It's a bit unfortunate that the recording is pretty laggy, you seem a lot of fun to watch
So, here after listening to the whole stream while doing stuff. This was a lot of fun! I can't wait to check in on the next part! I hope you'll keep going!
@@serafinschaller1688 Thank you! I appreciate the comments, and I do plan on continuing! Will also see if there's anything in the game's options that might make the stream play a little nicer in terms of lag.
@@threeowls2052 Awesome, great to hear! I wonder if it's a problem with the game, or rather with the stream settings. I'm assuming it didn't lag for you while playing? Not that I know much about streaming either tho. In any case, I'm looking forward to the next part!
@@serafinschaller1688 I suspect it's more a problem with my computer's capabilities; the game ran just fine on my end, but I understand that streaming can add certain demands. In a few weeks I'm getting a couple of upgrades to my machine and am hoping that'll help.
watched this video to fall asleep. really good vibes :)
Gah! I had the exact same experience with getting surprised by the twist of that scene, you worded it much better than I could though,
"Do it, Jodi" was like rounding a corner face-first into a wall. The expected narrative patterns were so deeply ingrained that I actually began to wonder if I'd gotten Hedwyn's characterization wrong somehow, as he seemed to break the pattern first.
Congrats! This was a really fun playthrough! I look forward to the last bit going through the ending. So, a super cool fact the developers explained in a blog post: Within the game, English is used to represent the old written language banned by the Commonwealth. So every time you see English in the game (the book, the lyrics of Tariq's songs and when Volfred speaks to you telepathically), that is the "old" language that no one except the Readers in the party understand. To the rest of the group, Tariq's songs are basically just nice-sounding gibberish. Also, they actually created an entire language for the "normal" speech you hear. You've probably come to pick up a few words without noticing, like "Noxalas" for "Nightwings" when you win a match, and "Ligeratus" for "Reader" whenever someone wants to talk to you. They even made dialects, so Jodariel, being older, was slightly more formal in her voiced speech.
Thanks! That is a cool tidbit. I caught the fact that Volfred used English that one time and kind of cottoned on to the Voice speaking in English unlike all others eventually, but didn't even consider the fact that the song lyrics being in English was diagetically interesting. I had a feeling they made a language for the other characters to speak, just due to the repetitions of sounds seeming very deliberate and with some clearly intended patterns. I absolutely love that there were dialects for formality in them. It's so cool.
Well done! The Withdrawn are tough opponents! For what it's worth, remember that you can change the difficulty level in the options menu if you need to. As you know the game continues regardless of how you're doing, but it might be more fun for you if you're not constantly struggling *too* much. It's been a while since I played the game but I also seem to recall that you can switch between different control schemes, even with mouse and keyboard. Might be worth seeing if another option suits you better too. Re. Celeste and Tariq's color schemes, I don't know if you've noticed, it's not just their colors. Tariq wears a bunch of Moon symbols and insignia, and Celeste the Sun. Oh, and one last thing: Since you're interested in the story and lore you should try to ask Sandra what's on her mind regularly. She will feed you snippets of her own back story. :)
Thank you! I've considered changing the difficulty, but I sort of keep going back to the idea that it's a story that doesn't rely on a perfect run of victories, and maybe it's worth seeing what will happen if I play it at normal difficulty and at my own skill level. Then of course I hit a difficult streak of opponents and start to wonder again if I really should go into options and lower the darn thing after all. I hadn't considered looking at control schemes. I may take a peek at those before the next play session, though I can't guarantee it'll help; it's less an issue of comfortable finger placement and more one of a tendency to forget, in the heat and pressure of the moment, what keys do at all. I don't think I caught the symbols and insignia but the sun and moon feeling definitely came across as a whole, especially with Celeste's name in the mix. I just looked up Tariq's out of curiosity, and it's a name referring to the Morning Star, so that's neat. I really should've talked to Sandra more just to get the dialogue bits! I think I will try and check in with her a bit more in the future, just to see. Thanks again!
Oh man congrats on beating the Withdrawn! Udmildhe is an absolute terror in the Rites and like the Essence she often plows through a lot of players and frees herself when she's up for Liberation. I felt so bullshat on your behalf when I saw that you were up against the Essence and Withdrawn for back to back Liberation Rites.
Thanks! I definitely felt the pressure, but I think the Essence were genuinely worse, moving up the field like that halfway through. Of course I might've just had a more effective lineup for this one than I did in the Essence group - I love Jodariel but she's so difficult for me to use effectively, as all her speed is in her jumps.
I love how the Nightwings are, for everyone else, basically the final boss. You could easily imagine another path the game could have taken, where you pick a triumvirate at the start, and fight against all the others to climb the ranks until the big final showdown where you get to fight *The Nightwings* for your liberation.
*hell yes* you met Oralech! Great job fighting against him, he thoroughly trounced me first time we met because he's really fast as a Demon and his team's coordination was the most intense that I experienced at that point. And yeah, losing against Tamitha feels *really* bad but she's genuinely one of the more terrifying teams you can fight against. She's extremely aggressive and many people lose to her just from how fast and loose she plays compared to other teams. I'm really glad you're sticking with the losses though, most playthroughs I've watched reload their save to get the win over her(which I totally don't blame or judge) but I find it so much more interesting playing through the losses to see how it affects the story and because hardly any other games allows for progression like this.
Losing does feel bad, especially on the Ascension trials, but I feel like I've got to stick with it just to see what happens in the end when I play the game as it's clearly intended to be played. I do hold that Tamitha absolutely cheated by going against the book and starting her team further upfield though. Maybe that warrants a little meta-cheating in response.
The exact same thing happened to me when I played the game, and I had exactly the same reaction. They cheated, and I got so annoyed I did load a savegame. Losing in any other circumstances was fine, but they just pissed me off. :D (I'm not saying you should - or shouldn't - do the same, of course, I'm just amused at how this mirrors my experience)
This is such a fun playthrough! I really love how much you've gotten into both the lore, worldbuilding, and character interactions. I've binged the entire playthrough thus far and I can't wait to see how you play through the rest of the story through.
I'm glad you're enjoying! Those are some of my favorite elements in games, so I definitely get into them, and I look forward to finding out how the pieces all resolve at the end.
There is a lot lacking with the game as far as interaction and 'stories'. Yes it's a fun potion crafting experience.. but it also is very drab and dull if you try to make some epic game play experience out of it. It's clearly some passion project by the one guy who developed it.
This looks fun, alchemy games look so fun
I've been a victim of that kind of thinking before -- it's a trap. It really kills your creativity. Play what you're feeling. Also, nice Granny W. reference.
Also, what is this game you're playing? :)
@@michaelbacon5278 Thanks for the comments! It's called Dorfromantik and it's a nice, easygoing puzzle-type game.

I stumbled onto your channel while searching something for Wildermyth, and enjoyed a few videos. Hooks are changeable now. At startup anyways. Never tried changing legacy.
You can choose hooks when you make a character. You can never change them once the character is made.
