I also studied for 5 years with Ms Sebastiani and heard her play this numerous times. There simply was no better instructor for technique and musicality. Simply superb! I loved every single moment that I spent in that studio!

She would have been 75 for this recital. Exquisite playing. Amazing lady! I too studied with her at Ball State University in the early 1980's.

I heard her play this numerous times while studying with her at Ball State University. What a fantastic pianist and mentor. Where and when is this recording from? Thanks.

So glad to find this video today. I studied with Pia Sebastiani at Ball State University in the 1980's. She was a powerhouse at the keys, and a delightful, colorful, and loving mentor. Amazing to hear her at age 80 playing this concerto. She died in 2015. May her soul rest in peace.

Soy la "nietastra" de Pia y recuerdo este concierto muy bien ya que yo vivía en Nueva York en esta época y me encantó poder estar ahí. De hecho esta foto la saque yo (a pedido de Pia) en el auditorio vacio Carnegie Hall, jajaja! Se la extraña -- una mujer no solo muy talentosa, pero inteligente y amorosa. Que lindo encontrar esto aquí...

Mi primera profesora de Piano, en el Conservatorio "Beethoven". Dejó huellas en mis manos porque aprendi a tocar con fuerza y sin miedo. Siempre me decía:"Vos tenés que dominar al Piano y no dejar que el Piano te domine a vos"....Excelente pianista del Teatro Colon y muy buena docente.

Este fue uno de mis primeros LP que me compraron mis padres allá por 1978.Aún lo conservo pero muy escuchado, Fue amor a primera oída esta sonata de Ginastera...También traía obras de Guastavino, López Buchardo...
