Keep the faith! The questions are worded so differently than I expected. Remember it's only a test you need to pass, so you don't need a perfect score. And if you need to try again it's ok! Many stylists had to take it several times to pass. Good luck!

You are so close! It's okay if you have to retake it until you pass. On the paper you're given with the results it will show which section you did well and weak on. Focus on studying more in those sections, you're literally a few right answers away from passing!

Hi Britt! As far as I know, there's not an official supply list for practical because everyone prepares differently depending if you went to a cosmo school, salon program, etc. There is a very general list of items NIC suggests but I found that they left out a lot of things as it was so basic. I will do a video based on my notes that compares to NIC. Start making your list out now per section of exam and that will give you a head start on getting your bag organized.

One pair is the 5050 and the other is the Keelan. I still reach for my old pair of 5050's! I never use the Keelan...I will probably list them for sale on my Poshmark. It was an investment!

From what I could see from the live show and photos on the red carpet, her actual hair is only about 5-6 inches long and the rest was extentions. Having it curled back was a lion's mane look no doubt (while everyone else's looked like sad flat hair do's with the weather), I think it concealed how short her hair actually is. Looking forward to seeing her next look, I agree she is beautiful!🥰

I thought her hair was super long at first then noticed her real hair is only 5 or so inches long curled around a velcro roller and then sprayed into place. I'd love to see her grow it out even more. I love the longer look on her!

You can do this! Don't worry about having to retest. Look at the exam result sheet you were given at the test center and see what part you need to focus on most. That will help and give yourself time to study for a good two weeks solid before testing again.@@Godfavorabletome

Great question! They do have the stretch material in the back. It will be a snug fit but it will hold you in like a legging!

@@littlebanshee you are right this style is slim around the circumference of the calf area and there is a lot of stretch so it will feel like a legging vs. a traditional boot.

Main key is to continue practicing and write down the steps in sequence of every phase in your notebook as it will be like clockwork in your mind when taking the test. I'm excited for you!☺

You have to test where your hours are at, I think! Some people who have moved from Georgia had to go back to GA and test there then apply for reciprocity in the new state.
