hi, i have a qn to ask. normally for gaianotes star bright gold is black surfacer 1500 - Mr colour GX black - gaianotes star bright gold. can i use grey 1500 surfacer instead? wil the colour be same as black surfacer?

Good job in paint comparison on five different surfacer color all in one screen. You can really see the difference. In my experience, using one color primer on different color parts will also yield different results. I think two coats of primer will do better like for example, use black to cover multiple color parts then use gray or white for the second coat to balance it all out. This is just my opinion, don't take my word for it.

I cannot get over how bad the head looks. Completely ruins the entire build which is otherwise amazing. I'm afraid to buy the set because I don't know if I'll be able to modify it in any way. If I try and fail, I'm left with a headless gundam.

So I’m wrapping up a monster project I took an mg Alex 2.0 replaced its backpack with the hi nu gundam’s, took the cannons from the back of the virtue and put those on the shoulders of the chobam armor, also on the back of chobams shoulders I put the thruster units from the gp01fb, and I gave it the hi nu’s beam rifle after modding a beam saber handle to it so it looks like a bayonet and a few minor details I hand painted it the titans blue scheme. I’m currently working on editing the video for this monster for my first you tube video

I like the red over brown best. I paint anime figures more than gunpla and use white a couple shades of pink yellow and brown primers depending. Brown makes the best dark skin tones.

Now that I know the secrets of surfacer color, which one is the best for blue? White on white is a recipe for disaster, but what if you want to brighten up your blues?

Thanks! What airbrush needle size are you using, ratio and psi? I’m using dspiae’s version of the surfacer 1500 black when I sprayed it with my 0.5 nozzle it sprays really rough if I add more more drops (like 4 ml) of mr color levelling thinner its just pooling over.

This looks like a surprisingly good rendition of the Hero Gundam from the Cosmic Era's darkest, and final outing (for now)! It looks like Bandai knew that like the Zudah from MS IGLOO before it, they had one chance to get it right, so they went all out creating what looks like the best, and most timeless of all the old SEED/SEED Destiny high grades (unless there are other kits from that lot which are great, please point out a few if there are any). If this comes to Kikatek, I'll happily bag it.
