I used W540 as sample, T540p and W541 has same structure as W540. Be careful when you try to take out keyboard, which has very fragile key cap, if the keyboard bezel stuck somewhere, please check before contuining.

之前也有类似视频。但是是2年多前弄的，有点跟不上时代。 注意点是： 1.下载最新版的media creation tool，下载的时候必须注意在微软的官网上下，免得有什么病毒啥的。 2.可以的话用media creation tool把制作优盘的机器升级到最新版，微软的windows 10基本上一年有2到3次大的升级，如果你不更新，有可能制作出优盘还是你用的机器的Windows 10的版本，到时可能装完新系统还要做一堆升级。但是也有可能是我个人的执念。 3.耗时相对比较长，建议优盘用usb3.0以上的。如果制作用的机器是ssd的，可以节约大量时间。

最近入手了两部T430s。一台主板烧了没发启动，一台缺parts。 可以修出一台好的，然后打算把剩余那台的parts能用的在我的ebay上卖了。 然后就有了这个视频系列。一个是如何分解t430s，一个是如何装回去，然后是装系统和各种测试。 有个tips，t430s的螺丝比较规整，基本上都是2.5x5mm，4个3x6mm的用来挂屏幕的，然后还有几个比较偏僻的是2x3mm的，又一个长的（可能是2.5修0mm）是用来固定硬盘接口板。

ThinkPad笔记本电池的状况在没有装系统的状况下无法查看，不像dell的笔记本。 我个人又在卖一些笔记本电池，一般为了负责起见，我有一块装了win 10的硬盘，在将收到的待维修或者准备卖parts的机器之后，我会将起充电过夜，然后插上硬盘后，进windows 10系统。 然后步奏如下，当然你也可以简单的装下lenovo vantage查看，但是这个软件无法计算还有设计容量的多少（我印象中）。 1. ctrl r 2. cmd, 回车，打开命令行窗口 3. 命令行输入powercfg /batteryreport（win7 可能不能用power shell命令） 4. 在用户名文件夹（桌面上有个当前用户名的文件夹）中找到battery-report.html 当然power shell命令也可以用重定向让生成html文件在您需要的地方，具体命令是 powercfg /battery...

Car was in garage for a while, then remote suddenly no working. I used to replace wrong battery 2016, which only last for one week. This time I purchase good one, it should last longer. Anyway, I think some people have same issue of replacing battery of remote. Hopefully, this vedio could help.

这是我们今年去动物园拍的一些动物的集锦。多伦多动物园算得上大的，总共有5个大馆，一天走下来如果要全部看的话有点紧。可以说是比较好的家庭活动的地方。当然动物不仅仅是我们拍的这些，里面很多，我们后来看花眼了，也就没有拍了，印象比较深刻的是企鹅，据说来着南非，人家喜欢沙滩和海滩，不像我们刻板的认为必须住冻库。

lol, 30 secs in and I'm done... don't remove the battery, break half the keys on kb, you should be banned from working on laptops, just horrid.
I have no idea what you just did @3:45 to disconnect the ribbon from the lower 2 button unit that goes below the touchpad... I just fought with one till the connector came completely off the back of the touchpad! Don't think this'll "buff-out" either. Is the touchpad itself built into the palmrest? I have decades of experience working inside of various laptops and PC's but never have I come across a ribbon cable attached like this one, it wouldn't unclip nothing about the connector would budge till it just came right off the back of the touchpad and now I'm frelled here!
So where do I get this palmrest part with the touchpad?
So I got another palmrest delivered today for this laptop, but am having fits still with these ribbon connectors there are 2 of them that need to be "connected" to the motherboard and though the black tabs are straight up and I can clearly see the socket I cannot seem to get the ribbons to latch down. What have they done with these ribbon cable connectors on these laptops now? I'm stumped here.

Yea open it this rough and you'll break about 3 to 5 components. Also, begin by disconnecting the battery
Please, work more carefully. Battery is the first thing to remove after disabling internal battery from bios before starting the maintenance. Voltages running through the systems and you are yanking the keyboard out with nuts unscrewed not properly. You need magnetic tip electrical screwdriver with various bits for different screw types. You need a declutcher handle, usually teflon or stronger material to seperate the joints. Metal scrapes on the joint points hurt the eyes when it is looked at under a scope.

Hello, Is there a way to remove the glue between the touchpad and this laptop's C-face cover? My touchpad still working well, but the plastic layer on C-face was touch bad, I only want to replace the C-face and keep the touchpad
Only way is using hot blower gun to melt the glue. But I do not want you to careless damage touch screen.

Thank you so much for a good hint. The most difficult for understanding is the keyboard separation. I saw some clips and in all it looks uneasy and even damaging. It will not be complex if you know this. There are two but actually three parts - big outer frame with touchpad, the keyboard assembly with its inner latticed frame (which is the part of keyboard assembly). It is hard to reach six tiny screws that happen to be covered by the keys and the inner frame. Fortunately this frame is a bit movable. When with thin instrument of your choice you push the inner frame towards the screen as on this video, you at the same time gently press the screen facing edge of that inner frame down, you guide it the way it slides under the far inner edge of the outer frame. This way the inner frame will slide under the buttons and you get a full access to those screws, almost 3 мм gap. I hope it will help somebody.
You are right. But for the one never been opened, it was very hard to slice the top keyboard frame
@@joyschinese mine was never opened before so I probably was lucky, it was not hard. The point here is to press far from you side of the inner frame to let it slide under the outer frame. If you do not do this, outer frame edge being at the same level with inner one does not let it slide. After you manage to do this once all becomes clear and you will not damage the keys mechanics popping them up. Thanks for your kind comment
Very simple process, daunting of you don't understand it or have the right tools, a small Philips screwdriver and a 1cm steel "spatula" should do it, just hold down a key and shove the spatula around the top edge of the key to push the upper plastic layer of the keyboard upwards,

For t460, I recommend you replace whole LCD assembly. If you want to just replace LCD, you might also need new bezel sticker. And it is much easier than older model to replace whole assembly.
Can you work with a cracked palmrest or is it really annoying?
It is fine to use with crack palmrest. But I do not feel it comfortable as a person who can make it better.
@@joyschinese I understand. Would you think $500 for 32gb ram, i7 for a P52 with a cracked palmrest is worth it? I can´t fix the palmrest.
@@SuperMageo First, make sure it is p52, no p52s. Second, how many ssd it has. Third, for used p52, with ssd and in overall good condition, it world around 1200cad/950usd. For changing the crack palmrest, it is hard to find part and you need to get a good tech, which will take over 100bucks. For me, if it really is P52 with m. 2 ssd(for sure, it should go with power adapter and batter), and overall fixable condition, 500cad(or usd) is a good deal.

Can you upgrade the screen to a higher definition one? Would the computer be able to handle it?
Highest can support to 1080p. If you want to update from 1366x768, better to check the model of LCD flex cable's model, if that cable can work on higher resolution or not. If you update from 1600x900, the cable will support 1080p.

@@quinnjones2886 You might be able to find one on eBay. 1080p is rare now, you might be able to get a 1600*900. No ips one, just old and thick one.

就是getting files ready for installation一直会在那卡住
换个ssd看看 硬盘太慢或者有坏道是会卡住
我的会卡在正在准备安装的文件那里，死循环
