In this video, I offer a side-by-side feature overview of an intermediate and professional KitchenAid Stand Mixer. Cuisinart Food Processor Blade Recall - How to find out if yours is affected
Просмотров 13 тыс.8 лет назад
Cuisinart Food Processor Blade Recall - How to find out if yours is affected This video will help owners of Cuisinart food processors navigate to the company's recall page and determine if their model is affected and what action to take. The recall is said to affect "riveted" blades of several million units. The blades, over time, are breaking off from their structure into the food, causing pot...
You just flip all around the page and don't show whats important !
You need a mic
Can you make bread dough in classic?
Thank you for making decision a lot easier… Excellent video..👏🏾👏🏾
You are so welcome :) Glad you found it helpful...thanks!!
Just opened my Pro 5 and already not happy about.. it does not have the spring for the batter attachment, the attachment is too loose without it. WHY would kitchen aid do this ????
That's odd. Did you try to contact them about it?
Glad I found your review. You pointed out the differences between the two models that answered the questions I had about which one to buy. Thank you so much.
Yay! I'm so glad you found it helpful :) Thanks for letting me know!
I just bought the Pro 600 Stand Mixer, does this model have the glass bowl or other bowl options? Since the design of these bowls seem a little more difficult to remove.
Hi Brenda, I'm not sure. When I got my Pro 600 mixer many years ago, you had to buy the glass bowl separately. Maybe that has changed. I have one for my Artisan mixer and I find it harder to put the bowl in than to remove.
Hi, never owned either unit but about to change that! 🥰. The pro 5 is currently on sale for $219 where the artisan is $350 and up unless I can find one on a resale site. I don’t do large batch baking but love to make cookies and pound cakes so which would you recommend? Being its 5 quart would that make it more compatible to the artisan for smaller batches as you described n prefer? Does the 525 watt motor make it the better choice for the ice cream accessory? Help please! Thank you!
Hi Lori, if you don't do large batch baking, the Artisan is a great choice! As for the 525 watt question, you stumped me on this one. I have never used the ice cream accessory so I really can't speak to that feature. I hope someone else will hop in and answer your question. Let me know if you find out :) Thanks so much!
How weight for batch size if knead bread dough
Can you rephrase the question?
This was the best review on RUclips. Thank you for mentioning the bread dough bit and for getting straight to key points!!
You're so welcome :) I'm glad you enjoyed! Thanks for the feedback.
I have the Pro 600 and a 4.5 qt Deluxe Tilt Head. So far, I haven’t had any problems with them. Love them!
So glad to hear it! Lucky you to have both :)
A very well-organized review. A rare thing on YT.
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed and thanks for the feedback :)
The dough hook for the 600 has a clearance of about 1/2 inch from the bottom the bowl, even with adjustment. With smaller bread recipes I found that the dough hook misses the dough entirely and used just the mixer blade. Also, before using these appliances for the first time, examine the crevices and joins for any loose metal shavings. Also, wash the attachments and scrub the bowl interior with Barkeepers Friend or a mixture of baking soda and lemon juice.
Great tips! Yes, I found that spacing with the Pro 600 to be true which is why I indicated that it's not as effective with really small batches. Thanks for weighing in! :)
KitchenAid has come out with some new stainless steel bowls called colorfast which come in various colors on the outside Bowl.
Ahh I'm not aware of that. I'll have to check it out. Thanks for the info!
Great review. This might be the first time I've only had to look at one video review for a major purchase. Thanks
Awesome Jeremy! I'm so glad you found it so helpful :)
I have a pro 5 over heats when I mix bread and stops. What can I do to fix it?
There are tons of you tube videos to help with your KA mixers. Just hit the magnify looking symbol and it will bring up a search bar. Good luck.
Good vid you going to make more lol
Lol yessss! Stay tuned! You looking for anything in particular?
just got the beast yesterday, unused. found this page while looking for information on it. my new blade is in the works. . This recall is from 2016 and they are still honoring it. good for them
Very cool! Thanks for letting me know and congrats on yours :)
How long did it take to receive your replacement blade?
@@Thekitchengirl haven't gotten it yet, prolly never will
@@derp8575 haven't gotten it yet prolly never will
Thank you for this video 5quart would work better for me, thanks again 💖
You're so welcome! Glad to help :)

Hi!!! I have a KITCHENAID 600 PRO / the base lifts. It came with a " glass " mixing bowl. The mixer blade hits the side of the bowl and stops the mixer. I know about the adjustment for the up/down of the blade but my issue is the blade hitting the side of the bowl. Can you help me????
Gosh my only solution would be to contact Kitchen Aid. That sounds dangerous and I hope you get it resolved.
I love your review. It helped me to make my decision. I decided to go with the smaller one. I like how it tilts the head. Also, I prefer when attachments reach and incorporate small-batch ingredients more easily. Thank you so much!🌹
You're so welcome, Anita. I'm glad it helped you make a decision. Thanks for letting me know :)
No no, the 7 ! Well, in any event, KitchenAid is a grand family of machines for the home. They've become the standard. And when you move up to, say, a commercial bakery, there's the Hobart killer machines. But, whenever using any machine, especially at home, guard your fingers and wrists, please. These powerful machines can hurt you.
Yess! I learned how to mix bread in a tiny commercial bakery with a hobart. I still miss that thing LOL. And yes, I think Kitchen Aid is very good about communicating safety protocol in their user manuals.
How many cups of flour can you mix in the 5 quart at one time
To avoid motor straining, I'll do up to 5 cups flour + 2 cups water which yields a 1.5 lb loaf bread or two .75 lb loaves.
Good review
Thanks so much!
Thanks for the great spec measurement on both of the mixers!
You're so welcome! Those numbers can be deal-breakers or makers for sure!
I use this KitchenAid stand mixer and it's truly great: amzn.to/3emBXXk yes it's a little pricey, but with 15 optional attachments it's not a standard mixer, you can do anything with it.
You didn't mention the most important difference: The Pro 600 dough hook attachment is the "spiral" type which is billions times better than the useless "C-hook" (which is what the Artisan can only mount!).
Interesting point, but I make due with the C. I do loveeee the spiral on Hobart's from my old bakery days.
@@Thekitchengirl I have a spiral dough hook on my 50 year old K5-A Lift Bowl. I wish the bowl was bigger sometimes, great mixer though.
that was good to know i never knew that red mixer was made with a delay i have one and i thought it was broken when i taken a min to start. i made a cheese cake and some dinner rolls..
Lol, right? The delay could easily make you think something is wrong.
Which one has a DC motor?
Neither one have DC motor. They're both AC (alternating current plugged into wall)
Thanks a lot for your review, let me ask for bowl lift how many at least for recipe of eggs and lbs ingredient to effective mix
sasipa chodchoy I have mixed 6 loafs of bread at once in mine
You can now buy beautiful ceramic bowls for the Artisan Design series mixers!
Wow...just looked them up! They're really cool ... probably a little pricey for most ($100+)
I had a lift bowl mixer for 10 years, last week when I kneading bread dough, on number 2 positions, certainly the kneading hood stop spinning and it making loud noise , can anyone help me to solve that problem. Hopefully I don’t have to buy the new one.
Did you end up figuring it out?
Excellent review! Thank you!
You're so welcome! :)
You remind me of Ellen DeGeneres
I remind myself of Ellen 😂 Crazy how much we look alike!
Got my wife the pro a year ago to make some bread. Still waiting.
Make the bread yourself?
🤣🤣🤣
hot89103 if you help.👍
😂 Well, I need to make my bread videos ... they're coming, I promise :)
She was hotter in the thumbnail. I'm out.
My buddy has large family who loves the 6 qt mixer, large batch household. Acquired his 5 qt. in a card game.
Nice! Way to go :)
What is the difference between the artisan and the artisan plus?
Hi Donald, there isn't an Artisan Plus, but there is a Classic Plus. Are you referring to that?
Sold me on the Artisan. Thank you very much.
You're so welcome :) Glad to help!
Why is the lift one 199 and the artisan tilt is 280 😫
Buy the pro for $200 it’s a no brainer lol why spend more for a technically inferior product?
Did the Artisan come with the glass bowl maybe? That might explain the price difference.
Thanks a lot, 👍🏾👊🏾✌🏾🇳🇬🇺🇸
My pleasure!
Oh man. I just bought the stand model. Now I'm not sure. I think I want the other instead.
Did you end up exchanging? I'm curious :)
Great video. Very informative.
Thanks! Glad you found it helpful :)
I have 250 watt Kitchenaid mixer that is 30 years old. I found that the lower size watt motor struggles making rolls. I have the 325 watt tilt head, 6 quart bowl lift 575 watt and the 7 quart 1.3 hp Kitchenaid. I was shocked to discover that the 575 watt motor runs faster than the 1.3 hp motor. I also have their 5 speed hand held mixers as well. Multiple homes need multiple machines for my personal use.
Amazing you have one that old WOW! Interesting about the speed diffs ... hmmmmh.
This video was great!
Thanks! Glad you found it helpful :)
super helpful! thank you!!!
Awesome! Glad to help :)
Which one do you find does a better job at making pizza dough? This would probably be the thing I make most often.
Samuel Mutschelknaus it all depends on the batch size because both mixers does an excellent job on making pizza dough and any other type of dough. If you are going to do a vey big batch you will need the lift mixer since it has more horse power. QVC has both mixers on easy pay with free shipping today 11/26/18. Both mixers are excellent mixers though
Yep, all depends on batch size. They'll both mix up some excellent pizza dough :)
how come on the tilted artisan, you dont need to unlock the lever to tilt the machine head?
Actually, if it's locked, you do need to unlock before tilting.
@@Thekitchengirl interesting! Mine isn’t like that !
@@mike623 Hmmmh, wait, so yours never locks?
@@Thekitchengirl oh wait I misread your reply. Mine works like yours lol. Thanks for the very informative comparison.
@@mike623 Ok yay! You're so welcome! :)
I'm having problems with mine (BFP-703 blade 331D) but they won't do anything so I guess I'll buy a new blender/processor, not Cuisinart this time.
Are there any particles coming off the stainless bowl in to your food?
Barbara Mowrey I have the stainless and the glass bowl for my lift stand mixer. When I purchased the stainless steel bowl I squeezed some lemon inside the bowl and rubbed it then washed it with dawn dish liquid under warm water before using it. By doing this I didn’t get any residue from the bowl that people complained about. I hope this helps.
Barbara -- WOW , I had thought the same thing ( we are like minded ) . My concern is the metal bowls against metal beaters (no matter the brands) . When metal hits metal it leaves a scratch / gouge / mark . There has to be metal debris in the food our naked eye can’t see . I use the GLASS bowl with my New Kitchen Aid Artisan when using the metal whisk attachment . In fact I never use a metal bowl with metal beaters or even a metal hand spoon with metal bowls to scrape .
@@maryisabell8760 Sorry that doesn't make any sense, wouldn't metal on a glass bowl be far far more likely to create little glass shards? Thing is, your attachments should never actually touch the bowl, glass or metal, unless your machine is broken or something, so your concern is a non issue as far as beaters vs bowls. Higher quality mixers have tighter tolerances, can get closer to the bowl, mix smaller quantities of ingredients, but they still don't ever touch the bowl.
@@mpotter9944 From what I gather...it needs to be adjusted. Apparently the manual states it.
One site I watched said to clean your stainless bowl very well b4 using. The lemon rub sounds like a good idea to me. Then wash with Dawn.
