Lil rundown on butt joints with the 10 inch tapetech flat box
Do you ever get flashing? It seems im using more time making sure there are gaps on both sides with my 4 inch blade and then measuring to make sure its straight. Watching this inspires me to try it out.
here’s a tip don’t buy it there junk get the dewalt mud shot you won’t regret it
Thanks buddy 😎
So you presquare then square then resquare to get your corners right?
Good video. Thanks
At least put some music on
Nice work
daym that was clean
Bad ass sir I work by hand but I like those tools
Good instructions, but that cheap radio has to go. 😜
I had to leave a chunk of 2x4 in your path for that lame music
Mmmmmmmmm is good try so many ways to tape and float ... I will try it like that can work
Sweet!
Hello, how are you? I am Muhammad Al-Hadi from Tunisia. I work in the field of house painting. I have 18 experience and I am looking for a job if possible. Thank you very much, and all my respect to you.
So do you always put a second cover coat over 'No Coat'? I assume its designed not to show if you just embed it in mud and thats all??? Or does it just need the embedding mud and one more pass over the top?
Ez faszság! Szükségtelen a gólyaláb! Amúgy sem ér sokat hengerezésnél vagy glettelésnél! Csiszoláskor és snejdolásnál oké!
So no need for skim blade after first coat on Flats?
Nope
I see a lot of migos doing this but when u see a white boy doing it is really a thrill to watch 💪😎👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
why don’t you use an extension for the box and not for you
Why not use a long handle no need for the stilts it's not that high
It’s better on stilts
Better control than long pole and can see if mud going on properly I'll use scafold not good on stilts.
The roads are trechourus out there...
Man up and get a 10 inch box... too much running back and forth to the pump
There are 2 coats. 8 inch then 10inch
@@chanceamos2705 10-12 is best
@@johnjaso385 yes sir!!!!
@@chanceamos2705 7 inch
Get a fat box. Holds much more mud and saves steps. And yes, I believe in a 10 and 12
Talent ,hard work and precision 💪 let's go......
Weirdest giraffe I've ever seen...
Need to wipe down behind the box, makes it much smoother
The taping looks good 👍,everyone has their own way of doing things as long as the final product turns out who cares how it gets done
Isn't a 8 inch knife alittle bit to much or not
Good job
Worst example I've ever seen
I'm a stilt walker too.
This work is not luck good !
Agree
Looks like a lot of picking around.
What is the name of tooles he is using?? And from were I can buy ???
Its called the NorthStar Taping Tool.
I believe that's a taptech box
North star is different color
What is the name of tool or machine that use on your foot sir?
Kukure Waka stilts
What is the name of tool he us using
Stilts and box tool
He can also work for the Circus...Skills with the Trapise...LoL.
Great work man, love the background radio too, really feels like a job site :)
You applied tape and finish coated same time..... man.... i would never ever do that. Your glue is shrinking with the topcoat drying. Used same mud too?
Why not just do it by hand
Hey where I'm from we let the setting coat fully dry before feather out. Have you had any issues with not letting it dry first. I would love to not wait for the set coat to dry as long as it doesn't compromise the finish
Do you use the green or blue lid mud to tape that in? I've got three 40' off angles I just order that stuff for. I've been out of taping for 20 years. I figure I'll tape it in with green and coat with blue mud. I've seen video where I can use a small box on that stuff?
Im a full flavor guy green or black all the way🤙🏻🤙🏻
@@austinbarton5219 Just used no coat for the first time. Damn that's a great product. Crisp clean angle. Going to try a 7" box on it today. Thanks for the info. You do good work.
Maybe turn first your radio off. Then you record your video.
Metal Outside corner?
Yes in our environment were they build on pillings its most durable we can get even though trim tex plastic is better we can't get it out here 😢
@@austinbarton5219 i’m trying to learn the difference in benefits of the trim Tex magic corner bead versus the no coat that a lot of people praise.
sanded and done or needs more compound?
For texture its fine hints the name nocoat. I never coat the inside 3/8 of it i cut it like a flat!! But for smooth one more coat
Looks like nice work
Tape tech don’t make a 8 inch box it has to be a 7
Why!?! Would you come back and wipe it off with your knife.. just run your box each way to eliminate the air bubbles Your wiping off the mud that was making that joint flare
