Great question! I originally looked at Klook, where they offer a similar tour (with a different elephant sanctuary) for $253.09 CAD per person. But as you saw in our video, we went with Wandering Star, a local tour company in Chiang Mai. We sat down with our agent, customized our itinerary, and negotiated an amazing deal! We bundled the Elephant Sanctuary & Sticky Waterfall, Grand Canyon (next week’s episode), and Muay Thai (ringside) all for $320 CAD for both of us!! While it’s not exactly apples-to-apples, we saved around $186 CAD just on the sticky waterfall and elephant sanctuary alone. So always check with local tour companies and compare with online prices if you’re looking to save 💰🙃

We struggled with motion sickness, even with extra strength Gravol. Luckily, our guide from Wandering Star recommended this ‘magic pill,’ and it worked wonders! Yeah! I guess technically the most ethical sanctuaries have no human-elephant interaction at all so that's why these kinds of sanctuaries, no matter how ethical they may seem on the surface, merit a deeper dive! Thanks for watching!

There’s several packages you can get but I got what they call ‘The One’ SIM card. I think it was less than $20 a month for unlimited data.

We use it for everything. That way when we travel we don’t have to carry tons of cash!

It’s especially convenient in countries that are card friendly like Korea. We don’t need to use the ATM and waste money on service fees and just use the card directly 👍🏼 highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
