My vectra is doing exactly what yours was doing as you tried started the car. it takes 5 seconds then starts. Is that due to old 3 year old filter. Once its started it ok to start again for the rest of the day, but next day back to 5 second attempt start.

You can do that without opcom. Just hold down the window button until the window is fully open, hold for two sec. now pull the button until the window is fully closed, hold for 2 sec. Done. Now try with remote. The speed limit lock setting is also accessible via a hidden menu. Seen a vid on how to do it.
