You’re supposed to use these for hedging or shot-term momentum trades. These are awesome products. You’re just not understanding how to use them if you think it is to buy-and-hold long term.

Hi i read on deribit website that options are cash settled instead of physical settlement. Does this mean that there will not be asset transfer when options are exercised but profit and loss is calculated depending on the price difference of the option contract?

Is there any scenario where your option CAN get liquidated? I ask this, because I want to buy just a fraction of a BTC option and heard that if you buy just a fraction of it with your total balance, this causes a risk then of being liquidated? Example: Let's say I buy just half of an option worth .02, so it costs me .01... Since I didn't cover the whole .02, would this change anything at all or add any extra risk? Just learning about Delta and have quick question hope you could guide me with... Lets say BTC is at 50k and want to buy a 52k call option. The option costs 1k with a Delta of .2, and I buy just $500, so I'm able to reach a .1 Delta which would equal to 5.2k. In my futures account I have just $500, so I short at 50k with a 10x leverage to match the .1 Delta. I ride with the volatility and close all positions. Are the Deltas correct or did I miss something? And... Do you think this would be a correct budget distribution of about 50/50, or any strategies you think would be a better fit or a plus later on?

Bro.. we should understand the percentage game here...~~ As we know, Lev. coin movement based on its base coin ; Check out these scenarios.... If Abc coin +10% (3×Lev. Abc) = 100 ×30%= $130 Then Abc coin -10% (3×Lev. Abc) = 130×(-30%) = $91 In 1st scenario , initial price $100 to $130 In 2nd scenario, $130 to $91 But Abc Price's 10% up & down doesn't change much from its initial value. its normal for a crypto to go up and down, but it will make huge price difference in leverage tokens There is a value decaying phenomenon happening here, To tackle this, binance is reducing the leverage from 3x to 1.5x when price on down trend (not instantly).. .. Only use leverage token for the coin you are in bullish... .. If you are buying just to 'hodl' ,i don't recommend lev. tokens.... If you want to do sell high & buy low on the crypto , without being a casual leverage trader... , grabe Lev. token and monitor closely...
