Hi there, I share your love for the Hettie Dress, and adore all your versions. I too have made a couple of them, I wondered if you have tried sewing it in a stretch fabric, I have a few stretch fabrics I would love to use. In your opinion would it, could it, work in stretch?

I have been warned that modern singers are not what they were, such a shame. I need to buy a new machine soon as it is 12 years old and it costs more to service it than buy a new one. However, I cannot decide which one so I just threw my needle my self and deal with the other idiosyncrasies 😂

I'm looking forward to seeing what you create with those lovely fabrics. I was at the show on the first day and also loved every minute. While it was extremely busy, especially in the morning, I found everyone to be very friendly. They definitely need a larger venue. X

I had the classic box for a while, I wasn’t interested in the luxury box as I have lymphedema in my left arm, so I need wide sleeves and I couldn’t see any of the patterns suitable for me. I loved the added fat quarters, which they stopped recently. They were lovely boxes. I have just signed up to the cotton and twine cross-stitch boxes, really looking forward to receiving my first one!

Hi Mary Ellen, I just found your channel when searching for the Janome DKS100 and have subscribed. I was at the Knitting & Stitching Show in the TEC yesterday and came across CW Fabrics, what a coincidence that you mentioned them today! I’m considering buying the DKS100 from them (even though I’m in Co. Kildare) and wondered if you were totally happy with it or whether you have reservations about it? I hope you don’t mine my asking you about it? Your dresses for Project Dress a girl are amazing and I can’t believe you made so many of them. I used to wear headbands but they would hurt my head. I never thought of covering them in fabric. Now I want to try that. Thanks for the inspiration. The elephant was cute, love the fabric choice.

I am in the same conundrum with my Singer sewing machine. My husband gave me a sewing machine forty years ago, which I loved. That stopped working. I then fell into the trap of purchasing very inexpensive Singer's which would have issues after about 4 years. I've decided to buy a new machine for my birthday and can't decide between a Janome or Juki. I don't need top of the line or many built-ins to the machine, just one that will last. Your videos always give me my 'sewjo' back! Thanks!

I had a similar experience with a different type of singer. The person I took it to for repair said he hates singers. I finally took it in, he never called me back to talk about it and I never called to check on it. It is out of my life and never again.
