How does my 25 yo 1fz-fe 4.5L Toyota GXL landcruiser go through hell and back and out last a 2024 6.7 dodge ram. : l
Because the modern ram has a pre designed tanking design, the oil cooler or whatever melts off inside the engine and blow its up, it’s Ram so it’s kinda expected it’s the worst
@@cheesedoesgaming6088 pretty pathetic really isn't it
They don’t make vehicles like they use to anymore man. Thats the best answer I got lol. That Toyota will last you forever
That made me sad I'm not a truck guy but man to see an engine in such disrepair
😮 don't make em like they use to
Lack of oil
Owhh... wallet.... mhmmm....
Whats the oil change history? Im wondering (and hoping, for my trucks sake) if its engines with poor service history that are failing or if its just bad luck. There's apparently a hydraulic lifter issue on '19+ too
1000% lack of maintenance. That crank journal lucky it didn’t get shot out the side of the block.
Also look into the fuel system if it's got the cp3 check for metal shavings and replace it they are known for fouling up and causing low power and lean conditions which can cause damage
I have a feeling it’s due to maintenance as well. He’s been providing records for warranty sake but the want to see records for why his idle time was so high. He has 2800hrs of idle time which is a lot.
@@WeezyZzZ Jesus 2800 hours of just idle time
@@WeezyZzZ I never understood that. Why cant an engine idle? Why is it designed to not idle safely? There has to be 10's of thousands of hours idle time on my Toyota.... runs like a champ at half a million km. To me, there's no excuse for building an engine that can't idle safely.
Good lord my oil pan is 24 years old
Salt water is what causes these oil pans in the south to rust like this
@@WeezyZzZ well I'm glad you're in a different south than I am.
8 years doesnt seem very long at all.
3 longer than usual
@@ryanstocks8972 I've never seen an oil pan rust through and I exclusively drive crappy old cars.
I agree lol
Just put a little flex seal on it good as new lol.
Or just gob a shitty weld on it.
😂😂😂
Just did one on a dodge caravan i pulled the oil plug and said wow this thing is rusty and took my finger and pushed one flake of rust from the pan that was just hanging there and boom a little pin hole with oil coming out i was like well i saved this guy a engine... one more little bump and he would of lost the piece and all his oil
Dude that’s so crazy. Thank god you were able to catch it before it happened bro
@WeezyZzZ yes the guy us very lucky so much for a Quick oil change lol it also needed brake work as it was in for a inspection also... 2 new rear calipers rotors and pads in the back didn't have a brake left on it almost steel on steel I could have listed a few other things but the brakes and oil pan were a must 😂
@@supermairo1716 damn. I had one kinda like that but it was lower control arms, front axle assembly, and a few other things and I was hoping they would decline it and total it but they approved it 😂 it was like 9k in parts and labor. I was surprised but we still see the truck every now and then for oil changes and maybe some 4x4 shift bushings
Lol I've made lists of parts for people before too once on a toyota rav4... the control arm bushings were starting to separate I kind of hoped they didn't want to do it... but they of course did and when I started the job I later found out you need to unbolt the transmission mount up top to gain like 1/2" of room to let the control arm bolt out... and it was also stuck in the bushing so I had to also fight with that as well some good stuff dude but that's what keeps it surprising
@@supermairo1716 you’re right about that bro. I like the challenge from time to time.
An expensive one
Maybe you can find out why all those Stalantis battery packs are leaking?
They don’t have them in my area. Are they leaking coolant internally or something?
@@WeezyZzZ Stellantis recalls 154K hybrid Jeep models for battery fire risk. I think the batteries are leaking fire 🔥
@@Houndzee holy smokes. I haven’t heard anything about that recall yet. I work on diesels at my dealership but they are certifying me and my colleague for electric vehicles. I’m not a big fan of EV but I’m open to learning about it because it means $$$
Chrysler teaching you how to fuck it up or what
Where your location
Why you need to replace the head for?
Do you have to mess with top down when installing a replacement? Or can you just match the cam position and gear with a quick swap?
Show us your “license” provided by RUclips
but the rev matches are sick af now lol
You guys definitely don’t have any experience doing this job, you definitely but definitely don’t need to raise the cab to replace the turbo, that’s a mess what you guys did to that truck man.
can this be the reason why i have low oil pressure?
Classic example of a hack mechanic.
Do you have more videos on this?
I like sounds like this.
This is the throw out bearing going out
They would never pay me enough to do that shit
typical stellantis quality
Crazy!!!
Not the direct fault of DEF. It was operator error, or the fluid between the ears.
My brother, I have a Cummins L8.9 engine, and it does not start when we knock. There is no electricity to the injectors. For your information, we changed the crank sensor and changed the fuel pressure sensor. We changed the fuel rail and changed the injectors. It may help us. Thank you.
Is there a clip or anything holding the CV shaft onto the transmission or does it just slide off of and back onto the spline?
It will come out by itself with little effort. if it sticks, use something like a flat head between the axle and tranny to pry it loose.
Big ole government induced paperweight.
What kind of tool do you use to pull down the lower arm
That was a come along from harbor freight man
What do you call those? I can’t find it
Is this normal? Trying to sell my z and everyone is concerned about this
Totally normal and nothing to be concerned about
Was it just a bad injector ?
What make and model is this car?
I have a 2019 promaster 3500 it shakes like crazy when accelerating at highway speeds. Is this an indication the right cv axel is bad?
Or the left
Yupp mine does it also... soo loud and annoying lol. People think my car is broken
Just tell them it’s a diesel swap 😂😂
You're doing too much. Take tire off, take cv axle nut off, take sway bar link off, take tire rod end nut off, remove tire rod end from knuckle, remove 3 bolts holding lower ball joint to knuckle, use big pry bar to move knuckle out of the way, remove cv
This is how I was thinking about doing it. I feel a lot of that tension is from fighting the sway bar down too. Plus you won't have to pop the ball joint.
I don't even take the tie rod off I twist the hub lock to lock as needed.
axle nut size is a 46mm....
What year
Your clutch likes to talk.
What size socket is for axle
46mm, and it's on tight AF
And when you press the clutch is gone. And if you pussh the shifter a little bit to amy gear with clutch disengaged it will also become more quiet. I heard is normal. But let's see if someone has a different suggestion.
What’s the tool called
Hi, This is Peter from Qingdao Zhongyan supply chain management CO., LTD. We are a manufacture of SCR catalyst. Hope we can have a nice cooperation.
Did it just need an injector? Mine is smoking too but way less
What are the specs for the axle nut i cant find them anywhere
46mm
350ft lbs
@@zachlast4888it’s 250 ft lb’s not 350 lb’s
Awesome video bro quick and to the point. The come along and pry bar trick are good to know. Thanks
what is the pulley system he is using to pull it down to remove cv joint?? anyone know. ??
It's called a wire rope hand ratchet puller aka come a long.
Gotta replace the passenger side of my promaster. Great vid
