@@warrensimpson9541 thanks mate, im using a Shimano 5000 stradic with 50lb braid and 60lb leader and the rods are both Samaki vanquish the jigging rod is PE2-4 and the other soft plastic rod might be 20-40lb I think but I could be wrong

@@blakehutchison-uk6vw I find that sometimes one side of the reef will fish good and the other can be tough going. It can take a few trips to sus it out

Yeah so much fun! I haven’t done any jigging in a while but I’ll definitely be keen to get back into it soon, I have been doing heaps more vibing on the reef of late, it’s been heaps of fun

Yeah nearly lost the rod forever lol I was trying to clip the bail arm over so that didn’t happen but I was to slow lol

Braid was a new thing and not all fisherman believed in it , i took some 30 pound braid to work on the reel showed my fisherman friend , he laughed at me and said what am i going to do with that cotton , proceeded to wrap it around both hand and yank it to snap it with great force to "show " me how bad it was . The end effort was he cut both little fingers like cheese wire to the bone , my schadenfreude was very strong that day :D .

lol cat like reflexes! I slowed it right down with slow motion in another little clip and the rod is completely in the air and I had no hands on it at all lol

I usually just look for small rock bars they usually hang around those areas and I’ve caught them on small hardbody’s, plastics and vibes so I don’t think they are to fussy when it comes to lures
