Lenny Pickett is not of this earth. Saw TOP at a small club in Boston after "Back to Oakland" came out in the mid 70's. The band was spectacular, but Lord Pickett made it even better. Absolutely the best show EVER! This video captured some of that for me. Thanks, Gene

too bad it's extremely distorted & the phone is not held still. Aside from being unlistenable & unwatchable it's great to (almost) hear LP blowing old skool... At the point where LP & Roger break it down the sound is not as bad, but still very distorted - can't even make the chords out. Too bad

It's hard to see your hand technique from this angle. But what I can see, your right wrist is a little too rigid. Also, make the unaccented notes quieter. A suggestion, get someone to show you different hand techniques. It will help in your execution to get the right feel and it will help avoid getting bad habits. You also have to work on your tempo, it has a tendency of speeding up. Otherwise, it sounds great.

Thanks for the video... believe me, I'm grateful, I just wish it wasn't recorded on a potato. In any case, the magic of TOP and Lenny Pickett just shines through.
