I love ipod classics, wish i still had mine from back in the day
Thank you for the grease trick, great video
That keychain you threw away actually looked like it might have been real silver. Maybe part of a bracelet or something.
For 6 switch models and jr. You can composite , and even S-Video mod them without removing parts and keep the RF modulator functional. They have 4050 CI so you have to add only resistors and caps . The 4 switch models do not have it , so to keep the modulator and not removing any parts, you can add this IC and nod then .
That's sounds cool, I would love to get s-video. Do you have any links for further information?

Can you please advise on what you did to get the memory card flashed with the correct software you said dc9 didnt work so what did you do to get it flashed with the correct software on the microsd and how did you do it
If your Xbox has a gold capacitor do not touch it because if you remove that clock capacitor it will no longer work
Great video, I like renovation, cleaning and fixing process of all devices 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Nice clean!
great vid! nice to see one of these were the tech actually knows not to mess with the heatsink thermal paste. i would have pulled the drive pully off for the dvd tray and greased the spindle though. i have seen some of those break off. they are just a plastic piece but expierence friction because of the drive belt holding tension on the pully. they need lubrication.
Congrats on 500!
A high five for you fellow tech guy!
Thank you for explaining your mod. Thank you for good lighting .
the mutli-coloured parts could be from xbox design labs, where you design your own controller mix and match colours
Nice work!
I have the same gold buttons on my controller for my PC...lol
I removed the c clamp but I couldn’t remove the paltter
It might be just a little stuck. I don't know if this will make sense but try putting your thumbs on the middle spindle, and while holding down and slightly pushing down the spindle with your thumbs pull up with your fingers in the holes in the platter. Hopefully it'll pop off
@@TechGuyLife Yep it was stuck. I had to use a hammer.
3d print a cover for that expansion pack hatch!
I was thinking about that, I just don't have filament that would match the N64 shell, my black filament doesn't look right with it...may try a clear one just for fun...
Found this today...need to fix an NES i picked up. If it isn't the 72 pin connector now I know what else it might be. Instead of an eraser, can I use a magic eraser on the board connector?
you can, its just a lot more abrasive and could do some damage if you aren't careful. I would stick to the eraser if you can, safe and easy !
There is a program that will rip games to the hard drive without all that fuss
Sub 478 right here!
Thanks but I was a bit thrown when I couldn't see the speed adjustment screws! There's a type of black foam covering them 😀
Mine has this problem but I'm not good enough to try the repair 😢
If my psp was bricked due to the tampering with the flash files, can this still restore the console?
I think so, the process is for fixing a corrupt flash on a PSP and it just force flashes the firmware so it should work in that scenario
Yes. Flash0 corruption can only be restored through factory service mode. Baryon Sweeper and magic memory sticks make it possible to enter and take advantage of this mode.
Life saver! I initially thought it was loose connections from the power ribbons or something related to the circuit board, but the sleep switch being dirty never crossed my mind! Very helpful video!
Glad it helped you out ! Thanks for watching
Bro please make proper video new updated without mistake and easy process please😢
Working on it...its just tough with a channel just starting out, no revenue till 1000 subscribers so I have to pay for everything myself. I am trying to make a more detailed video
Instead of sacrificing a working batery, if you have a charger, you can use twist ties to connect the circuit to the charging pins (making a loop or a hook around each pin)
👍
I build these. Nice video.
Thanks !
I need your help please im so close the crpyro keys just go on forever on pysweeper
Unfortunately the keys will become grren yellow instead of braun/grey yellow in a few months/years
Looks great!
Nice intro!
Thanks!
Couldn't you also have gotten a broken GameCube with a SP2 port and just solder the port back in?
Yep, if you had a totally dead gamecube, you could use the donor part
Thanks for the video. I thought I needed a swiss boot disc, good to know I can throw it on the sd card instead.
Yes a Memory Card 2 SD adapter is very cheap and accessible on amazon nowdays. Picoboot is also very satifying hack to do. I have to warn you its addictive. Im already at my second pico this year.
@@Teknishun yep I ordered a picoboot already. I found my old GameCube in the closet but no games so I decided to order one along with a hdmi converter so it’ll look nice. Honestly can’t wait to check out my old saves. I’ve already modded my switch lite with a picofly as well as a backlit gba so I figured this should be a cake walk. We’ll see if I get the bug to start buying up for parts GameCubes to fix and mod after lol
As a weirdo who bought a Zune when they were new and have since owned a couple (just swapped the battery on my HD a few days ago over on my channel, so it was funny seeing you do Zune content on yours as well) I will say I personally prefer the Zune software over itunes, and back in the day it was doing what spotify is now. You could pay monthly for a subscription to the music service download as much as you could ever dream of, and still get to keep 10 songs every month (which honestly is really cool for a subscription service... not like netflix will let you go yeah keep a few movies even if you cancel). You could wirelessly lend songs to people, so if you knew another weirdo who had a zune you could just go hey check this song out and send it wirelessly to their zune. They could keep it for a few days (forgot how many). Also HD Radio, it still is one of the best HD radios around (if you are into that sorta thing) It had so many weird and neat quirks that set it apart as more than just a wannabe ipod, it genuinely felt like they were trying to do new and original things instead of playing catchup... they just did not have the right Steve pushing it. Steve Balmer was no Steve Jobs when it came to advertising their products. Alright that's the end of my Zune rant haha.
R.I.P to that Zune....was looking to change the battery and dropped it while it was open, ripped the ribbon cable that is the hold switch and smashed the screen. Concrete vs Zune... concrete wins.
I replaced the belt on mine and the speed went nuts. Wouldn't slow down to 33, stayed at 45. Had to scrap the turntable sadly.
Thx for the video. Did this today on my 1.6 xbox. I use a 160gb WD Black IDE Hdd. Enough space and i dont need that adapter and ide ultra cable.
if I had had a spare IDE drive hanging around I would have done the same thing ! Thanks for watching :)
what if i cannot find another working psp to create a magic memory card..hope you will also make a video creating magic memory card
you can use an SD adapter, they are very inexpensive on amazon. I will have a couple new videos soon on making the Battery adapter and the memory card, it has just taken a while.
nice repair i recently done a battery repair on an iphone 7 i found which fixed the bootloop but unfortunatly it was locked
I use and iphone 4 for and ipod its cheaper then buying and ipod. iphone 4 u can buy on evay for $30 then a 100 for and ipod
heck of a find for $10! Nice!
So my frontloader is not working been looking at videos, so it does not show video and audio, replaced the caps, even another RF box which was a pain to remove, so I did a continuity test on the PPU pin 21 is video out and shows ground on my multimeter it beeps pin 20 is GND and beeps, then I move to pins 14 15 16 and 17 and beeps ground does that mean its a bad PPU?
Possibly, but you might want to check other components to see if anything else is shorting to ground. According to the schematic (wiki.console5.com/tw/images/5/54/NES-001-Schematic---CPU%2C-PPU%2C-RAM%2C-CIC.png) 14,15,16,17 and 20 are supposed to be ground, so no issues there. pin 21 should not be tied to ground, that's for sure.
@@TechGuyLife besides Q1 transistor what would be another component that's connected to the PPU?
check all the other pins on the ppu if nothing else is shorted to ground then most likely the short is something attached to the video out and you'd have to look at that on the schematics, there's capacitors and transistors in between pin 21 and the video connections. It might even be a small blob of solder or a broken trace, which can be really hard to find.
As soon as you said "pulled out" I knew you were canadian. xD
What are you talking aboot?
Did you say what the Aladdin board is used for?
I don't think I did....Its an alternative firmware for the Xbox that opens up the system to run homebrew along with original software. The LPC port was a debug port that cleaver people found a way to tell the xbox to boot your firmware from there rather then your actual Tsop chips.
THANKYOU SO MUCH I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIX MY PLAYER FOR MONTHS ❤❤❤
That's awesome you got yours working again ! thanks for watching !
I dont have the spare time to build a Baryon Sweeper. How much to unbrick a psp3000 I got from GW?
I'm trying using a white memory stick, but it keeps failing. I'll have to buy a black memory stick and try it again.
yeah I had the white one as well and it caused nothing but problems. I took a guess that the adapter was an issue and bought the black one, so I would suggest the black sd adapter. Good luck !
On Cube64 Press X & Y to bring up the Menu
thanks ! I thought I had tried that :)
So this is where I say, the best GameCube option is a Wii w/ GameCube ports, and either an internal HDMI mod or good quality A/V to HDMI adapters like the Mayflash (Amazon) or Electron Sheppard, no Amazon Wii2HDMI crap! Now I do have two GameCubes with Picoboot and SP2SD. My Platinum has a matching GBA Player and I use a Kaico Labs Digital A/V to HDMI. My Spice Orange has a matching GBA Player, BlueRetro front panel (can use Bluetooth controllers) and an internal HDMI mod. I do love them but a modded Wii can play these emulators w/o slowdown and there are some GC games that do skip during cut scenes when using the SP2SD (intro of one of the Mario Party games, 8 I think) but work fine on a modded Wii. I get the point here is to revive and prolong a GameCube but for someone starting ouut, Wii is a better choice, especially if you can do the HDMI mod. That and a shell swap could make for a good cheap ebay Wii to Ultimate Wii video series! I used the AVE-HDMI kit from Electron Shepperd. Paired w/ an mclassic, looks great on a 1080p TV. For some reason, my Samsung 4K TV doesn't like the 1440p signal from the Wii HDMI but has no problem with 1440p from the GameCube. The mClassic will output 1440p if the TV can do it, otherwise it outputs 1080p.
I do plan on doing a Wii project in the future, but there is something about the GameCube that keeps bringing me back to it...I don't know what it is :)
It's amazing. Before I started my little channel, everything I bought to fix never worked. Now it seems like everything gets fixed by the mailman.
