I went to an Aaron Fisher lecture many years ago at Hank Lee's in Boston. At the break I killed all of the pros with this. They had no idea. Great, great trick.

i dont know if it has anything to do with it or Sals periferel vision is that good but when the guy is laying the cards out he stops and puts his finger on the king of hearts after Sal says dont stop at your card etc.... another possibility is he is great at reading body language when saying "it could be a black card", but the part where he grabs it out of the deck is unreal

Fantastic routine by John, but the room temperature IQ spectator detracts from the performance IMO. His presentation is wasted on her. I'm amazed she was able to spell the card in her mind correctly.

I saw this trick as a kid and just had to learn it. I'm thankful younger me took the time to practice and learn this trick because it forced me to learn and perfect the sleights that I now use in other tricks. This is still my fave trick to look like a memory and sleight of hand master. Glad to finally know what the original Marlo routine is called.
