I had a KJV Thompsons Chain Bible...loved it. Bought a new one with large print, unfortunately I didn't realize how big it would be. Not the kind you could bring to church. Also for such a large bible the cover was so thin and flimsy, I had to order a bible cover. It stays on my coffee table for occasional reference.

Did you mention what translation it is? I don't want to sacrifice a goat for it, so would be happier to get a non-leather source. Thank you for explaining the high points of this Bible.

Jesus & authors of the Bible didn't know that slavery is immoral & even suggested how to buy, sell & beat the slaves. Modern Western laws are NOT based on Biblical values, otherwise slavery would still be a moral practice. No Bible verse explicitly says slavery is immoral & call for its abolishment. Secular thinking ended slavery after about 1800 years of Biblical values failure to do so.

I'm loving that platinum color. A year after your video, they're still available to buy. I notice you didn't get the thumb-indexed version. What's the tradeoff? Also, I wonder how that platinum color holds up over time, and if it wears off. I'm not familiar with this version at all. Is it the King James text?

I was able to make out by squinting ... which translation you are displaying... it would have been nice to have this FIRMLY pointed out... since MacArthur study bibles are NOT laid out exactly the same across the board... I have the older ESV and NASB AND the NKJV...study bibles the first editions.... and even though these two were released about the same time... the page layout is slightly different from one to the other.. SO Please stress what translation you are reviewing in future posts ... thanks..

Looks like a great Bible; absolutely tragic that it's available in multiple versions, but not the KJV. Unbelievable.
