The movie overall has issues but is still worth watching because this guy is awesome and deserves to be a more popular action star. He reminds me of Scott Adkins

This was actually a Fan Movie. Kickstarter Movie. The Lead was called "Michael Rivers", Damon was another Character. It was an homage to 80s Martial Arts Films. Bolos Son was in the Movie, he was a fighter. He is not a Producer...

Lol...Steve's philosophy of winning was basically, ive got to eat and pay the rent...any means possible, act hurt, cheat, run, fall down as long as he won...if I remember the story correctly, he fought 2 tournament s on a Saturday and 3 on a Sunday, a couple were smaller events that ended early and yes they waited for him to show up...they all had cash prizes for grand...usually a hundred dollars perhaps a bit more...early days lacked real cash wins...300 dollars then was a big prize...if believe it or not these stories were being told after visiting Kevin Thompson during his battle with ALS...we left Kevin's house in Jersey. Heading back to Poughkeepsie NY and at about 3am we were at a White Castles in the Bronx getting all of his stories eating burgers...some may not know this Steve was a Navy diver and also played semi pro football...actually started karate late in life compared to others...met him in 1980 San Diego, and in 2019 was instrumental in organizing a fundraising event to assist him with his battle against Parkinsons Disease...glad to have been one of his many friends
