What if the stencil is not showing as fully transparent, but only shows the torn edge on the top? (I assume on the normal map)

So your so-called "Substance painter tutorial" is basically an ad for your 30 buck asset, which I might add, is just a bunch of PNGs with alpha channels you created in photoshop and has zero educational value. Bravo, I never leave negative comments but this one deserves an award.
Dude you don’t understand the pngs I converted to alpha maps are 100% worth 30 dollars!!!

How do I make the material transparent to remove the black background?
Its about the Shader Setting of your Substance, in "Shader Setting" tab change your shader to something that support "Opacity" like "pbr metal rough with alpha blending" and make sure that you have "opacity" channel in your "texture set setting" (if you don't have it already just click on "+" and select the "opacity"

@@arasholfate I have alpha blend and opacity on all channels and it still comes out black for me when I import the texture into my platform (second life).
Do you sell that substance painter prohect files only?
It contains both .sbsar ( which is useable in substance painter, unreal engine blender and etc.) and texture set files (albedo,roughness .....)

hello, thanks for your purchase, be sure that you turned the follow path "on" and set spacing for your brush to minimum value "5" and turn on the lazy mouse from the top toolbar as its shown in the video, i guess you put very low value for the lazy mouse amount please check that also, however if these tips still not working for you please send a direct massage in Artstation and we will discuss more about your issue and will see how to overcome it
