As smoenone who had never played this game, can please anyone explain me what is happening? What I deduce is that I am watching a boss fight and probably that staff is somehow overpowered?
Magic overall has always been overpowered in all of the dark souls games, this is indeed a boss fight and what the caption calls "ng7" is a system in souls games where each new iteration of a playthrough gets harder, by more health and more damage for bosses, doing ng7 is a widely recognized achievement and this boss is considered to be the hardest in the base game, that is if you're not using magic lol
