Scumbag, and Phil was cool too.

Haven’t seen this since it aired in 1998. What a gem of a concert. And Phil was still in great health and top form. I also loved that Cyndi Lauper called in and made a request. Which is very fitting considering Phil did a cover of her “True Colors”.

They change the key on this song five minutes before performance time because Phil was feeling a little under the weather and was going to have a hard time with high notes. That is the pinnacle of a professional band.

Before his health declining and back injury, where ever he performs, you get 100% of him. Phil is one of the best and unique music artist of all times.

The early rap before gangster rap was awesome…. it was always fun, witty, comical, positive…. Lots of talent in the 80’s!

The 90’s turned out to be HORRIBLE for music… between that gangster crap rap and that untalented noise called grunge….. and that’s just the tip of it! Pop sucked, metal got sucky, I ended up just going to the club for a decade or so lol… at least House music was still solid
