Well, a lot of people think if you repent, seek god and follow his path before death then you will be "saved". If he somehow did that right then and there while being shot then those people logic would work, he should be in heaven. Although if he actually killed people like he said and lived the life of mocking and doing drugs without repenting then there's no way he'll be in heaven. In my eyes if he was to repent after taking people lives then there's still no 100% that he'll be going to heaven. A lot of people I talked to who have taken lives turn to god and they'll take scriptures from the bible and will kind of twist it in a way will make it seem like it's saying you can still be in heaven even if you take someone's life. All I know god speaks clearly that hurting someone is a sin, you have to make it right if you sin. Can't really make it right if you take someone's life.
