I tend to be a very cautious and precise player, I like to think through my options and possibilities...until the bloodlust kicks in and mechs go WAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!

I may need to dump the vulcan later on, for now and with the right upgrades it is doing tons of work. But I appreciate the advice!

Running around stations and bases was cool, and ground combat was fun!

@@aaah.gaming Nice! I might have to get back into it then at some point. I used to love flying out to uninhabited systems and landing on some barren rock to scout in my buggy, but now you can actually walk around I imagine it's a whole different experience.

@@danielread5854 there may be limitations on which planets you can get out on foot onto, I'm not certain if we can just get out anywhere.

@@aaah.gaming Fair, I imagine trying to leave your ship on a ultra high gravity world with a surface temp of 1000 C would be pretty ill-advised.

Yeah I've not learned the shortcuts well and it has been extra difficult as a result haha. Thanks for the advice!

@@aaah.gaming Cataclysm is my favourite game of the franchise, played it to death back then. Some hints, always try and mine out everything before you tackle mission objectives, unless there is a timer. If you replay it sometime, in the mission where the Klee San approaches the infected module, you can save the escort fighters. You have to put them behind the KS and then guard it (G), wait for KS to approach the module, have your fighters selected, and as soon as the cutscene starts, recall them with (D) so they won't get captured. Same in the next mission with the Benthusi, recall fighters when the cutscene of the explosion triggers. I think it was if you hold ALT on the map screen, you get an eye icon that lets you view the target, helps with selections. I think V gives you FPV of the ship. Keep messing around with formations and aggression stands. Hope you enjoy the game!
