Thank you Eric Musgrove, and everyone at the library, for all the time and effort you have put into doing these presentations. I find these really interesting and have been wanting to make it one in person, but have not had the chance yet. This is definitely the next best thing. At around the 38:00 mark (ruclips.net/video/b9cZWdzuR6g/видео.htmlsi=i--IGCCc1d9BlAU3&t=2281) you are talking about the Ghost Town of Columbus. I live right near there and I was just wondering if you could clarify... is this Ellaville? Or is this the other side of the river and was actually considered another town? I do have a fascination with Ellaville and have since we moved here 20 years ago. Our property had an old logging trail through it when we purchased it and we have found a lot of things on the property over the years that indicate that there was some kind of settlement/homestead set up here at one time. Now that I am learning about this town named Columbus in the same area as Ellaville, I am even more curious. The timeframe you mention for Columbus is around the same timeframe that Ellaville was active as well, if I remember correctly. Thanks to your presentation, I now have another town I want to research. Can you also tell me of any other towns that were in this area in past? Thank you so much for your time and keep up all the great work. I am so happy that I found these videos.

I wonder why Napituca happened near Holton Creek a first mag spring and Alapaha Rise the largest spring in the world. Maybe the capital of Timucua?

Absolutely fantastic 🎉!! I'm going down to my local public library to see about starting something like what you've done in your community. I'm always on the lookout for ways to actually help with the very real problem of homelessness; this video is so inspirational in my case. A resounding two thumbs up for the video and your continued efforts in helping the community in which you live. 👏 BRAVO! You are my hero today, ma'am.

Solid talk. In addition to there being 2 withlacoochee rivers in FL, there's 2 wekiva rivers- the perhaps more famous one that originates in Wekiwa springs & merges with the St John's river, and the wekiva river in the big bend region that's a Waccasassa river tributary. There's also at least 2 "hog island" 's (probably countless more, I've only been around the one on the Suwannee river mouth and the one on the south Withlacoochee river north of Silver lake. Speaking of which, I know there's at least 2 silver lakes lol, the south withlacoochee river one and one somewhere in the panhandle, maybe off the choctawhatchee river, can't exactly remember & don't even get me started on how many springs were originally called "blue springs"

Very interesting history of Suwannee County, especially since it was my Great-great-grandfather, WIlliam Henry Rousseau, who was the State representative from Columbia County who co-sponsored the bill that created Suwannee County. Later he served Suwannee County as a State representative and senator.

I'm trying to do one, I have finished except for tge handle, where does the handle go?, what does it look like unrolled? Is the handle in the way when it's unrolled.

Hi Carolyn, Debra said the handle goes 18 inches from the edge when rolled up. The handle is not in the way when it's unrolled. To see more pictures and videos, check out the Facebook Group - Suwannee County Operation Bed Roll Ministry. facebook.com/groups/1386084078164857

"A Million Fragile Bones" really touched my heart with its tender & sweet recounting of memories in nature. I loved the first part of the book most, but I also appreciate Fowler's candor in her expression of the utter gravity of the Deep Horizon Oil Spill & its aftermath on her life, her husband's, & all who were affected by it, whether human or other life-forms. This book has taught me that to this day we are still experiencing the effects of its devastation on the earth, the Gulf waters & sea floor, & its wildlife. I will forever boycott BP gas stations as a result of this, as I have done since April 20, 2010.

This is helpful. My far flung siblings and I decided to undertake a long distance book club while we’re all confined to quarters. This video gives me an idea what we should be doing since this is my first book club. This book sounds interesting. Thanks for doing this.
