Oh i been on it for the first time and when you go on the runway they stop the plane and then they start speeding up and you can feel your guts go forword and when you takeoff you can feel the presure go inside your ears then landing it feel like nothing

I’m afraid of heights but surprisingly watching the take off and the landing is some of my favorite moments when going flying

I went on my first plane ride (Whatever you'd call it) a couple of weeks ago to Turkey. I can't believe how fast a plane can get from 0 to 1000mph in about 2 seconds. This is exaggeration because I don't know the speed but it's fast... I had some twin sisters looking after me and that giving me sweets to suck because of my ears and that, bless them.

If you are nervous just look how calm everyone else is. If they are not calm start panicking. Lol

My first flight was a few weeks ago, and I was amazed at the ground below me. I don’t think I blinked for minutes. It is honestly insane to me how we are able to move such massive hunks of metal so fast and so far up in the sky. We were going hundreds of miles an hour and I didn’t even feel it. Just inches past my face, it was -90°F outside, while it was only somewhat chilly in the cabin. I had goosebumps every time it banked, ascended or descended. 32,000 feet above the ground, I could see the land similarly to how I see it on maps or Google Earth. I loved watching the progress and stats on my interactive flight map. The only thing I wish I could’ve been able to do was listen in on ATC Communications. What a wonderfully bizarre experience flying is! ✈️

Flying is so fun to me, especially takeoff. Unfortunately I always get air sick so I can’t forget the Dramamine😅One day I want to do ATC or something related to aviation! That moment where the pilots rotate and the plane lifts off is just magical to me🥲

Wow. My first flight was when i was when i was 4. My dad used to work for southwest, to american airlines, but now he works for delta. I just flew a few weeks ago from ny to la, and from la to vegas, and from vegas to ny. We get free rides sometimes bc my dad works for the airport

I was 48 years old when I flew for the first time. Flight from Omaha to Jacksonville with stop in Memphis. Scared to death waiting to take off. Always scared of heights. Slight delay before takeoff and started talking to some other passengers. Found out there was a church choir on board going to some concert somewhere. 15 people in the choir. Joked with them and my wife that God surely wouldn’t take all these non-sinners, just to get me!! He didn’t, so here I am smiling to this day whenever I think of that flight. Whew!!

Yea I know it's been awhile but I would advise anyone scared or even mildly shook over flying to not take a 737 Max(specifically Max 8) on their first flight and after the evil Boeing committed that cost 346 people their lives I'd stay away from them as much as I possibly could.. forgive me for getting all grim, I actually love the 737 Max, it's Boeing I despise...I hope u had a relaxing first flight as many well know Air Travel is for the most part extremely safe

I flew for the first time a couple months ago for work. I was terrified. Once on the plane and taking off I was kicking back relaxed with my headphones on just enjoying my music. Yall have nothing to worry about. I found the flight to be therapeutic. I’ve been on 7 flights since(all for work) and they’ve all been 3 hours or so long, and I’m no longer nervous and actually look forward to traveling now. It’s the same as riding on the bus or a train, turbulence was one of my fears and it’s not even bad. Being on a roller coaster feels way worse. This is coming from somebody who has a fear of heights and suffers from panic attacks btw. Absolutely nothing to worry about. Once on the plane and seeing all the attendants walking around like nothing it’ll ease your nerves. I recommend picking an aisle seat so you have more leg room and taking chewing gum + headphones to help with nerves and your ears popping.

Its lile being on a roller coaster as it goes up bit it just continues until cruising altitude.

What scares me to death on planes is when youre riding spirit and the pilots decide to point the plane downwards

For the first time EVER in watched take of and I have never felt so free. I am a chronic anxiety sufferer who also fights with dissociation and i want everyone to know, fear ain’t nothing but a feelin’.

It’s okay it happened to me before and I went on a plane again like year after year and if it’s your first time going on the plane and if you go on the plane anytime you will get used to the take off part (I hope you understand what I’m saying because some of other people didn’t understand what I’m saying)

First time I flew : London to Rome, loved it. Second time : London to Santiago de Compostela ( translated, the city of " St James of the Field of Stars" ), Spain. `Loved it. Coming back I just had the slight feeling of unease, thinking, `suppose this thing were to crash ?....` Third time : Londo to New York City. Loved the outbound flight - it was broad daylight. `Hated the return in darkness all the way. Fourth time : London to Mexico City. Hated it. Ironically it was my first time on a Boeing 747 : 400 "Jumbo Jet" which I`d always wanted to go on. I took my girlfriend with me, it was her very first flight and she loved it. Coming back ( again in darkness ) was even worse. Sixth time : London to Santiago de Compostela, loved it. Seventh : Humberside Airport ( actually in Lincolnshire ) to Alicante, Spain; Loved it. Eight time : London to Valencia, Spain. I was a little nervous. These days I`d have to be as drunk as a skunk to get on an aircraft, so my tendency is toward fear. In fact, I`ve given up other opportunities to fly to ancient Italian cities completely free of charge - including spending money, but have had to turn it down on the grounds that I just cannot board a plane again.

It’s such a surreal feeling to fly for the first time. That woozy feeling of that heavy metal tube with wings just, fly.

if it makes you feel better, engines failing is not the worst to happen. If 1 engine goes out the pilots can keep the plane up with the 2nd engine but they'd have to accelerate the thrust. If both engines fail, the pilots can glide the plane for a surprising amount of miles. Taking off really is not scary because all you need to understand is maths and physics which all pilots NEED to learn before flying. Air Traffic Control and the pilots has full protection over you. If you ever feel nervous before your flight, you can always speak to the pilots and they can relieve you by explaining their skills and power over the plane. Your in very very safe hands.
