@@JayI-kx9ck correct, I’m developing track from top to bottom. I play only one clip at a time which contains all elements of the ongoing scene. As soon I’m reaching bottom, I’m proceeding to the next neighbouring track which I start from the very top clip. One the crossfader each track is assigned to A for odd and B for even track. So I can cross fade them while transitioning from one track to the next one. I play with crossfader occasionally during the development of the track to borrow some grooves from neighbouring tracks to create some additional unpredictable animation. I find this “dj like”approach very intuitive and easy going. The only downside of having 8 or 10 tracks playing simultaneously is that all polyphony is used, so not all sounds are played if some vertical tracks are not stopped. Which is annoying of course. Muting tracks doesn’t counts as it still uses polyphony if not stopped. Sorry for the cumbersome explanation as English is not my native tongue.

@@pauljones4060 i personally don't have splice account. I find it easy to transfer sound and kits from computer with SD Card. This particular set is done 💯 percent from stock Akai Force sounds

No, I mean, you can find alot of stuff online to be honest, splice is just convenience. Basically, you go to splice, spend points to buy a thing, then on the force, you can download straight to the machine without disrupting your project. The alternative is, you download a sample on your PC, save your project, put the force in controller mode, drag the sample to the Force on the PC, take the Force out of controller mode, load your project, import the sample you just copied. I dont find the inconvenience that big of an issue, especially if you take advantage of the USB, SD, and HDD option. Put all your sample and project data on the internal hard drive, use the SDcard and a USB thumb drive to move samples between your PC and the Force. So basically, download a sample on your PC from anywhere on the net, stick it on a thumb drive, plug it into the Force, import into a project. The key is, organize your samples, download them to your PC and stick them somewhere and keep them organized, then periodically, copy your samples to the Force internal HDD. I did a project that needed a police siren, a gunshot, and random police radio chatter, took 5 minutes to find a gunshot sound and eq it with more low end, copy all three samples to a thumb drive, and put the thumbdrive to import into the Force. Im not entirely sure you will save much time with a Splice account and with the recent BS around Splice using copyright strikes against customers who use their service, I would stay away from it. There are alot of royalty free sounds you can get online if you know where to look, BBC sound effects library is one such place. For music related sounds, search RUclips and get a RUclips downloader that can directly download the MP3 audio to avoid spending time converting.

I want to be clear, when I say internal hard drive, I mean, the hard drive you install, not the internal storage. If you flip the Force over, you can remove a small panel and install an internal laptop size drive, THAT is the drive I am referring to, you should NOT save or modify anything on the builtin internal storage!
