Linda and David are RetiredAndTravelling! But please don't let the "Retired" label make you think we are boring old travellers. Not yet anyways! We travel far and wide for about 6 months of the year in multiple trips. And many of the spots on your travel wish list are probably covered in our blog posts!

Champagne sabering (or Sabrage) is a St Regis Hotel tradition. At the St Regis Grand Rome we were delighted to experience this tradition several times. And enjoyed the champagne afterwards. Thanks to the team for sharing this experience with us.

Visit the Huntsville And Lake Of Bays Steam Train in Huntsville, Ontario on a trip north of Toronto. When we arrived the train was chugging out steam at the train platform. The steam train ride was about 30 minutes along the Muskoka River to the Fairy Lake Station. There was even a Steam Museum at the Rotary Village Station to visit. Fun for the whole family - even when it rains!

BC Ferries Trip From Horseshoe Bay To Langdale on Sunshine Coast

To visit the Sunshine Coast in BC, you must take the ferry from Horseshoe Bay. It is a 40 minute trip. The ferry takes walk on passengers and vehicles. A lovely trip with lots of scenery along the way. For things to explore on the Sunshine Coast, you can check out the RetiredAndTravelling blog post

Montmorency Falls are just outside Quebec City in Canada. We parked in the upper parking lot by Manoir Montmorency. From there we walked along the path to the suspension bridge for our first views. Awesome! I’ve flown over Kauai & part of Maui but Big Island is on my bucket list!!!
We love to see great sights like the Big Island from the air. Hope you get to visit.
This is beautiful, I actually live in Rome and never even noticed this...I guess I have to go have a review of the place.
I hope you do get to go to the St Regis and experience the champagne sabrage. A fun and tasty treat.
Did that ride twice a day to and from work. It was a pleasant break for me. Got breakfast too.

A helicopter was indeed a great way to see Hawaii from a different perspective. But being sick is not worth it.
I like your pictures of Canada, it's nice to explore local. I like to get to Ontario one day.
There are so many amazing spots to visit in Canada. But you will need a long visit. Or multiple trips!
I found it interesting how varied the landscape is from the flats to the high raised coastlines with the waterfalls.
We were glad we got to see this part of the Big Island accessible in no other way.
Wow! The landscape looks so Jurassic. A helicopter really seems the way to see it.. I'd love to do this tour one day!!

We sure did love our local travels in 2021.
We did the helicopter ride over Maui about 20 yrs ago. We are heading back to Hawaii in Jan,.. so this makes me even more excited! Nice vid guys! New Subscriber friend here!
It was not the helicopter tour we wanted. But we sure did see some great sights we would not have seen any other say. Hope you have a great visit to Hawaii. January should be great for whales and waves!
