How when already to short i cut it
Hmm how do I get the old string out.
Very helpful. Beats the offical version hands down. Thanks from Belgium.
Hi i just bought a KBPV V60 but cant seem to get the leds working got any solutions
I think Stihl copied your technique when making the same how too 😂 The guy goes on a bit though and is like listening to a fence post. So easy doing it this way, some say cut the line first, that's just silly, do it just like this. It's about 3 meters of line I believe. No thicker than 2mm
I’m glad I could give them some inspiration and provide incrementally more entertainment too 😅 Thanks for the feedback on the length- and yes the thicker cord doesn’t work, some of the cheaper stuff is actually thicker even if it is green.
Just what I wanted.
Nice video. I brought my whippersnipper around 5 years ago now also brought a whole heap of line and the polyester blades. All my line is gone and our local still shop is no longer there. The local hardware store sells aftermarket lines. What size do I get I've thrown all my old packaging away? Thanks
your video is short, to the point and very clear. thank you.
This was soo useful thanx a lot..
It’s worth noting that using non-Stihl or generic type line/cord makes it way harder to feed. Yes, the genuine stuff is more expensive, but if you use the cheap stuff you’ll end up with issues winding on and with bump feeding.
You're the first video where someone shows how to do this easily. I've been racking my brain for 2 days now lol. Thanks
Thanks. I’ve been doing it wrong all along.
After we put the line on the head, how does the had need to stay? Do the arrows have to be lined up after the windup? Or do we just leave it as is after we put it on?
There are arrows on the head and the base, line up all 4 arrows.
Thank you for the advice!@@tashellen5386
lol, Mate.. or as I say here in Canada, " Canuck", this is the most relaxing video to have a lesson as to my " mates" Stihl. I rarely listen to inaccurate instructions from a mate. I figured it out in me own head- for most women do have a degree of mechanical intelligence, as well as common sense. I did check out a few videos on the particulars of a Stihl wacker that if I were an insect, or my aunt? or.. my Dandy Daddy Long legs? I would run for upon me came a whipper held by a the shadowy feet of a large being.
Great review! I also picked up this keyboard and love it with my Mac. What dip switch configuration do you enable for use of Mac modifier keys? I'm still playing around with mine and don't have it quite right yet. Sometimes I accidentally toggle the shift-lock and need to mess with the dip switches to get my FN key back, so I can use escape and FN + WASD for arrows.
Bless you. Your alternative method worked perfectly for me. I didn’t have to haul my weed whacker to my brother’s house to get his help! Thank you! Enjoyed your accent too 😊
Real easy to do but I am struggling with the winding up. Slow and steady you don't seem to be struggling.
When I try weed eat the line wants to come back out and get all tangled, what am I doing wrong? I have the same model
Lines probably not the right diameter mate, from memory these will only take 2.0 -2.4mm max, if its the original bump auto feed head.
Yeah, if I use any thicker than 2mm it's a fail with alot of swearing 🤬
@@tashellen5386 I'm using the Stihl line and it comes out too fast and gets tangled up, I may change out the head, Not sure what the deal is with it.
Bloody legend
Mate. This was the most helpful video I could find on RUclips. Cheers!
Looks easy , mine got a different head ,don't know what model ,cheers
Legend thanks mate 👍
All other methods claim theirs is better and say to remove the head then thread on, however this method is hands down the easiest and quickest method out there. Thanks for the direct, no nonsense video. Best one i’ve seen.
great, thanks
Manual makes it way too confusing!! This is a much better and easier way. Thanks for the great vid!!
Hahaha thank you. It was really simple and easy.
Grate vid
Nice one! :)
Just had my Grey watch this video and she was so enthralled with the POV shots from her eye height. While we in Oregon don't have that beautiful water at the beach, she REALLY liked watching it. Ears up and eyes dead straight into the laptop screen. Nice video! Shot approximately 14,735 km from our favorite beach! "2018-07-25 Ada out at Oswald St Park"
I'm so glad you and your Grey enjoyed it. We have great beaches here but our woodlands pale compared to Oregon! It's awesome how they tune into other Greys on the TV but otherwise ignore it..

Fucking gay lmao
How did you make the keyboard compatible with Mac OS X?
Cool
Fantastic footage! I would love to discuss featuring this for an upcoming event. Please contact me at jayde.purnell01@gmail.com ASAP. Hope to hear from you!
where is the arrow keys?
lol you type with your index finger, noob!
why bother buying this, and then buying on top of it an extra case, when you could just buy a vortex poker that comes with the aluminium case to start with?
Great review. It was short and to the point but you didn't leave anything out. The audio quality was perfect too.
I think this is the best 60% keyboard out there. I like the way they organized the arrow keys on the left side. That makes this thing worth buying.
do you have a link for the case?
+Paul Gifford I do - pexonpcs.co.uk/collections/60-cases My case was die-cast, rather than CNCed. The CNCed should be a better build, and is on special, so go for it!
hi, I noticed that your V60 is for mac, which is what i want, but when i search this keyboard, i didn't see that?
It's a standard USB HID (human interface device) - it should work just fine on PC and Mac. They include replacement function key keycaps in the box for Mac, so it's definitely made to work with it.
eww gross, you hit the spacebar with you index finger.....
+Rob Borsdorf I was thinking the same thing!
+Rob Borsdorf I do too. never learned the right way to do it. Works for me though.
i do sometimes hit spacebar with my index finger... i can type 140 wpm... learning 10 fingers type only can make me type 90 wpm
It's worse than that. His right index finger is doing all the work on this right side.
You said you can use the shift, menu etc... cluster for arrow keys, but if i want i can just use the p l ; ' as arrow keys right? and if i can,(which i assume is possible since those keys have arrows in them) to switch between ''arrow mode'' and ''normal typing mode''(making the keys actually type pl;') do i have to mess with the switches in the back or can i press something to activate/deactivate it quickly?
+Bernardo Oliveira I don't think you can play with the DIP switches to get those arrow keys to have a lock mode. Here's a list of the DIP switch options: www.scribd.com/doc/227820785/KBP-V60-User-Manual You can hold down FN + p, l , ; etc, to get the cursor to move, but that's it.
InternetsDown Oh...well...that's sad. I should still be fine though, as the biggest use i would have for arrow keys is in games, and that's kinda to find in games that i like. But thanks :)
What switch is used in this?
+Deo Favente They are Cherry MX Browns.
+Deo Favente The guy said 10 seconds into the video... @.@
Hey where in Aus did you get the case from? And how much was it?
+jzm Unfortunately I couldn't locate one in Australia, so I imported from Pexon PCs in the UK. It was about $100 shipped (not sure how the exchange rate looks compared now though!).
you Australian? if so where was locally?? :D
Bought this and it failed in the first week... Back to a good solid LOGITECH K810 for me.
Yea, I just sent it back to Amazon.
Its from Taiwan, which is the biggest and best exporter of mechanical keyboards in the world. Razer keyboards would technically be the Chinese keyboard that is known to not even work out of the box sometimes. Please educate yourself. :)
I love this keyboard... using it now to type this message while super drunk, not brown, but BLUE, I like blue, but brown uses less pressure and probably what I should have gone with but the chinese failed provide that option on AMAZON, so I went wtih blue. Although I really liked the feel of my logitech K810, fucking cunts didnt make it NOT bluetooth and certainly not drunken rage proof, since my K810 is permanently bent now, I chose to go back to mechincial, cant kill terminators right? Even though it might kill me in my sleep, I not am not only OK with that, but would appreciate the effort.
You have the gamers typing form. Use that pinky!
Dustin Hoeppner Old habits die hard :-)
+InternetsDown you cant use the pinky because you may have to sprint
Having a really hard time deciding between the poker 2 and this, the Pok3r is out of the question as it doesn't have media keys which is a deal breaker. I plan on having green LED's using switchers for the poker 2 and some white keycaps. Think you can help me out with my delima? *EDIT* Are you aware of any white keycaps from KBP? as I can't find any and that huge cluster of a function layer would be an absolute bitch to remember, buying third party keycaps.
Powerweezle I think the main draw of the Poker 2 over the KBP is the programmable function layer, and the main draw of the KBT is the function-locked right arrow cluster. I haven't seen any white keycaps from KBP - as far as I'm aware they only come in black. And I totally agree - the function layer is the main reason I haven't thrown my backlit PBTs on it! The stock keycaps are a little thin compared to a custom cap. I'm really happy with my choice, it just remains to be seen if its worth making the jump to really committing the function layer to memory.
