This happened with the Who in 1975 at MSG. Keith Moon was too drunk and high to continue the concert, so Roger Daltry asked if anyone in the audience could play drums. Dude stepped up and crushed it.

It could have been a true fairy tale when Taylor passed that they got this guy in to fill the spot.

When Dave Grohl tells you, and the audience, that 'This motherfucker can play drums', that's life at a peak. Congrats.

Not keeping exact score, but... Pretty sure I've seen more of these "fan plays with band" moments from Foo Fighters alone than everyone else combined. Top-shelf PR move. 👌
