A win against Vandy is a win. Vandy is a good team and anyone that sleeps on Vandy, like Bama did, will have a rude awakening. The road for Vandy is hard now because I feel like anyone they play against is going to respect them.

I was most impressed by Quinn's ability to fall down on the ground quickly when someone appeared to be getting close to him. That was Pro Football Impressive.

Texas has gotta stop believing their own hype. There's a point where confidence crosses over into arrogance. I think after today's pedestrian victory over a gritty Vanderbilt squad. The high flying much hyped longhorns are seeing two things; 1) the grind it takes to play at the level to win a national championship & 2) how difficult it is to win in the SEC-simultaneously. Texas continues to be a high speed finese squad with all the bells and whistles, but lacking in one thing, grit. They boast playmaker and depth and good coaching, they are also resilient to a fault. But, they simply suffer when they forget the basic principle of the game, at the end of the day, it's football. A understating Georgia and sadly Texas A&M have in spades. Georgia played a bad game against Texas, but won. TAMU trailed LSU, but rallied to house them. Simply put, we ain't played nobody a d when we do they hang around and make a game of it against Texas. So, some would say that's just the target you get being the hunted, a top 5 team. But, nope! It's us reverting back to a squad that starts slow, isn't technically sound (numerous penalties) and too dependent on luck. Today's victory was suppose to be a rebound game after a bitter Georgia loss, but it just further exposes us as good, not great and definitely NOT elite. A few more unfavorable bounces and Vandy miscues we'd have suffered our 2nd loss to an SEC squad. There's no way a #25 team should have taken us into the 4th quarter with 8 minutes left down 3. It's shows what I've said, were good, not great nor elite. Pavia was Dillon Gabriel lite and gave it his best shot to pull off the upset with under 4 minutes to go. So, to my detractors and critics, you can't tell me we're deserving of a top five ranking. Yeah, a wins a win until TAMU, OSU, Georgia or Oregon come to play. But, to my critics and detractors, I say as a famous rapper recently said, "I hate the way you sneak diss..." I'm a realistic Texas fan, so miss me with that rah rah bs and keep it real. Michigan & OU were way down, so the truth is, we ain't played nobody. Vandy was a true test. TAMU will be one as well. But, it looks like Georgia and A&M are the SEC's top squads with Texas looking in from the outside. Prove me wrong?

They can get away with playing like this when they are able to out talent teams, but teams with same or better talent it’s a different story. These penalties are just maddening, Sark needs to drop the hammer on their asses and put the fear of god in them because they are too undisciplined and will def lose another game and maybe 2 before the year is thru. And I appreciate what Quinn has done for Texas but he takes too many sacks and as talented as he is he just seems a step slow when pressure comes.
