Longtime Peru State College men's basketball coach John Gibbs is recognized for his contributions to the college and program. Members of the Hall of Fame 1992-93 team were also recognized on the 25th Anniversary of their record setting season that saw the Bobcats go 27-6, advancing to the Elite 8 of the NAIA DIv. II National Tournament and finishing No. 5 in the nation.
